Wait, all this 64 players talk: 64 as in 64v64, or 32v32?

Most probably 32v32.
I found this memory/tribute on youtube.

Or you could fly a plane into it.
Too soon?

Holy shit, that would be awesome!

It'd be nice if 40mm grenades only made a small hole in a wall and not tore down the wall itself imo.
Is it true that some of the EA Sports team will handle the animations? That would be really neat.
Yeah heard it's some borrowed tech atleast.
If there's one thing the EA sports guys know how to do right, it's animations.
I just hope it's a lot like Battlefield 2. The recent Bad Company games, and Medal of Honor have been disappointments. I traded both in to get Black Ops. However I played BF2 for far longer than all the Call of Duty games combined, So I'm hoping this will be a throw-back for me :)

And it'd better have mod support.

I really thought Bad Company 2 was alright. It was different from CoD and Medal of Honor. It just didn't have the old BF1942, Vietnam, 2142 and BF2 feeling.
I enjoyed BC2 over BF2 but 2142 comes at the same place as BC2.
Hell yes jets, prone, and 64 player confirmed. Awesome awesome awesome. It's been over 5 years, I can't believe this is finally happening.

Of course it's going to be like BF2. The Bad Companies were made so DICE could actually have a fairly console centered game. Anyway, some members of DICE said that they hated Medal of Honor too.
Hope I'm not late with this.

Oh god yes!
I want night battles in a city like on the cover. That would be sweet.
I'm gonna fucking love this game if
1. They balance prone, and makes it take half a second or something go prone, instead of BF2 prone where if you hit the prone button you just changed to the prone animation instantly.
2. They balance the jets, alot.
I hope that the people who did the sound design in BC2 are doing the sound design in Bf3.
Yup. Wow, what a teaser. I'm actually very excited now. Now we know for sure this will probably be a direct sequel to Battlefield 2. The wait is going to kill me.

Obviously they are working on BF3 aswell.

I don't like how they're using the US Marines.
Marines are way to overused in Media, and a lot smaller than the US Army.
And as I heard from a Soldier, US Army Soldiers and US Marines are essentially the same thing, only Marine's are a bit more air headed.

That and you cannot shoot while you're doing it, nor for a bit afterward.
Destruction like in BC2?
Jets?
64 players?
Instant buy.

Agree but, they shouldnt make it take like 2 seconds for you to shoot, that makes it too similar to PR and annoying, maybe half a second or maybe an animation showing your character setting up the weapon. Y/N?

well the marine thingy, they are pretty much the "flagship of war" but that makes it sound stupid.
It can be compared to the Ultramarines in the WH40k universe, they use them for movies/games etc. It's because they are the most renowned and appeal to most.
it would be kinda weird if they had you playing as a Indian Soldier fighting against African soldiers :v:
I am never really bothered by the overuse of armies thingies in war games, i think Marines look cool when they are all geared up. But anyways you aren't likely to pay attention to your enemies clothes while shooting at them or are we? :v:
