I remember in Joint Ops like 64 players got into one HIND or something, it was some Russian helicopter, and if ONE fucking rocket hit it, that lucky bastard got 64 kills :v:
Hinds only have capacity for 8 soldiers, you're thinking of the MI-26 "Halo"
Hinds only have capacity for 8 soldiers, you're thinking of the MI-26 "Halo"
Oh yes, thats the sexy chopper from Joint Ops
Also I used to absolutely love Joint Ops then BF2 came out and tore Joint Ops away from me, lol.
I hope they make everything a lot more flexible, modding-wise. No hardcoded squad limits/size limits, vehicle maximum capacities etc.

I also hope theres 128 players because a game in 2004 had 128 players :frown:

Oh god if they added that into BF3. I can just see helicopters circling around trying to get the people off the carrier while attempting to avoid enemy fire and explosions from the ship. That'd be amazing.
-snip-
oh wow those old feelings of wanting to track down the guy who made punkbuster and stab him to death are all rushing back

So....what the hell's in the video and is it uploaded somewhere else?
I want to fill an entire C-130 like in ArmA. And then try to fly under a bridge and kill off my entire team :frown:
Reminds me of the Forgotten Hope mod for 1942, the Invasion of Malta map. The germans had a transport plane, everyone would jump inside (think 20-32 players), fly over the island, the pilot would open the door for everyone to parachute out of.
But the way it usually ended was, it'd get shot to pieces by AA, the pilot would forget to open the door, and the Junkers would plummet down in flames with no one able to get out of the damn thing.
Or if someone was able to get out, they'd have forgotten to pick up a parachute kit and splat on the ground.
Oh man, they better fix the infamous hit-detection from BC2.
That was a gamebreaker for me.
To be honest. BC2's hit detection is way better than BF2 for me. BF2 is like "Shoot next to them and you'll hit them, but if you shoot at them you won't" Which made medium to long distance semi auto fire worthless to me.
In BF2, location and ping was a lot more important.
In BC2, you can play on pretty much every server except french ones.
hyping myself too much for this

does the disagree mean I should hype myself more because that's a bad idea

Just found this and patched it together for avatarism.
As a medic, I will drag my wounded teammates to the worst places possible. :v:
My friend said he will always drag people in circles :v:
BF2 is messed for me too, every time i try to join a server it boots me and tells me to stop running a modified version of bf2 and revert to the latest official patch
im not running a modified anything and i have the latest official patch :(
Reinstall using the official install order.
Wait you can drag people? is that literally grab them by the neck and pull whilst firing with one hand or we not sure on details yet. Evacuation from ambushes will be amazing, using dead bodies as cover, ah god can't wait!
BF2 kicks you from servers on the steam version if you have overlay enabled!
if you didnt have bf2 before it was out for steam then you're lame
Well, seeing as you can mount weapons on almost anything it'd be actually really cool to use bodies for cover.

Proud purchaser of every single BF game and expansion pack on release date, even Modern Combat and 1943.
man I remember being really bored in BF2 and just to screw with someone in a server me and a friend on the other team would stat pad a medic on the U.S. team at the base in the back of karkand, but not for points. just because when you're being stat padded you can't disconnect from the server because when you press escape and try to get to the disconnect when you die it cancels it out, so basically you're stuck being killed again and again helpless and unable to leave unless you turn off the game completely

First member. But are we going to organize any BF2 matches?

Oh fuck you're shot! Lemme drag you to the enemy tank!

Also my BF2 steam says my cd key is invalid.

:downsbravo:
Am I the only one who wonders how dragging will be in any way practical?
If you don't have time to zap them, what makes you think you can pull them somewhere?
First member. But are we going to organize any BF2 matches?
Ok, lets just get some members first. If you know a Facepuncher who is also a Battlefield fan, invite!

I'm sure Dices thought process is people hate being revived into the middle of a firefight just to be killed again literally seconds afterwards, without time to even aim. This'll let medics drag them behind a rock or into a building to let them be revieved in saftey.

I'll just drag them to a fence or a wall, and mount my gun on their head to suppress the enemy.
If I can't save them, might as well make them useful.
Drag em to a flag and hide in their body.
Why are people talking about dragging bodies?
Why are people talking about dragging bodies?
Uh, it's a feature.
Let's hope there's wheelbarrows in BF3.
