I would love a crippling system, but in this way: Get shot in the legs or below, fall down, get pistol, still can fight but your on the ground and you need a medic to get you patchhed up. get shot in the arms enough and your accuracy for your guns are decreased by about 30%. Get shot in the torso enough and you slowly start to die and you walk a bit slower. Get shot in the head you die but theirs a chance that you will survive however your vision would be blurred, your accuracy would significantly decrease and you will die unless you get medical attention.
Or they can do what they've done in every Battlefield game ever and give you 100 health, and make the .50 caliber sniper rifle the strongest rifle in the game and yet only do 90 damage unless it's a bullet directly to the nose
I'd prefer a Hardcore mode, One or two hits, You die
doesn't sound very battlefield-esque
Now that I think of it you're right, just ssomething I thought up of, it would add some tactical elements and make you want to plan some attacks though.
I want to fastrope like in DC.
Can't...resist..watching teaser that doesn't show anything multiple times.
Honestly, Battlefield 2 might be the best multiplayer game ever made. When you played with your friends all on teamspeak and had a full squad you could easily win a round if everyone was focused.
To me the game offered the most tacticts and with the Project Reality mod for it it just got better and better. I think i'll go to Dice headquarters and give them a cake, thank you Dice, thank you!
It pretty much confirms that there are soldiers, helicopters and jets in the game though.

And yeah, BF2 is the best MP game to this day, oh man do I hope BF3 is even better.
I never liked Project Reality. I played it for a good 8 - 10 hours and only got a single kill. I wasn't acting stupid or anything, and I appreciate it's good to act as a team, but it seemed that I'd always just get killed by some sniper 4km away, or some helicopter that I had no way of fighting.
PR and BF play out very differently, I do not see why people are like "omg a new bf means a new pr1!11" and act like PR is better - it's like comparing apples and oranges.

I never said PR was better than BF2, i just said that with the possibility of playing PR BF2 got better and better. I like variation, and BF2 had if anything variation.
PR has a 90* learning curve.

I wasn't referring to you.
I hope there's gonna be a Battlefield 3: Vietnam.
One can dream.

Battlefield; Vietnam was one of those games I could never put down, even years after release.
Then I lost my disc.

Hopefully It isn't 5 maps and about 13 weapons.

Pretty good deal actually.
As for 64 players on PC and 24 players for Consoles, the map system can work something like this:

Basically the fewer the players the smaller the map gets and the map is changed for fewer players as well. For PC we get all maps for all player limits, however for Consoles they only get 1-2 of the variations, depending on the gamemode and the player limit.

I would have figured this would have been obvious and not needed explaining.
Excuse me, now I need to go play some Gulf of Oman against bots.
If only the enemy AI commander was not such a sadistic dipshit when it comes to artillery (if you've played sniper you'll know exactly what I mean)!
I hope there is dynamic vehicle gibbing. And that helicopter tail-rotors can be shot off, throwing the helicopter into a hopeless spiral.
I also think that dead bodies and destroyed vehicles shouldn't disappear instantly. There's just something about wading through bloody corpses and struggling for cover behind burning tanks that pumps adrenaline.
I like how destroyed vehicles stay in BC2 but it doesn't seem like they stay long enough.
I like how destroyed vehicles stay in BC2 but it doesn't seem like they stay long enough.
The moment I hop behind them for cover they disappear ffffffffffffff-
It still wasn't as bad as BC1 where they disappeared after being shot more or less.
It would be great if blown up vehicles never went away (but could be moved about and crushed, etc...) and dead bodies not only stayed around but could also be used for cover; it would add some more awareness too, see a pile of dead bodies, don't go around the corner. However I have a feeling there's a performance related reason few games have this.
I wonder just how good (and realistic) destruction is going to be.

pretty sure they could implement some kind of "lod" like system, after the ragdoll has become motionless they could scale down the model details.

It's a waste of time I wont be playing BF3 to be staring at some low detailed body.

Yeah I've been wondering that too, hopefully it's better than *Poof smoke :O the wall is gone" and the collapsing is a bit more realtime and not "you removed all the walls but none of the support, so it's going to collapse now" without buildings that seem unstable collapse where there isn't much support/tips over where there isn't much support.
By the same logic, you won't be playing BF3 to look at walls, but they're adding real-time radiosity nonetheless
Well the idea of the game is too capture the flags/base and shoot enemies not look at things like it's some sort of art expo, so yes my logic I wont be looking at walls.
When's that Gameinformer coming out?...

so what your not going to stand in awe when a plane crashes into a building or an artillery strike levels an entire intersection?.
so what your not going to stand in awe when a plane crashes into a building or an artillery strike levels an entire intersection?.
Yeah I would but I wont be staring at it, I'd just look at it then carry on with what ever.
If Karkand is Limited Edition DLC then I'm so getting the Limited Edition. Why oh why do developers siphon content from the game, in order to release it later though; it's an absolute sham. I paid for this game, I expect it to be the best it can be, but I can pay more to make it even better!
Somebody should ask that guy on Twitter if there are any plans to bring back grappling hooks and ziplines, even if they're in an expansion.
this suffices?
