Heh, I just tried my first game in about 2 years, and I got stuck on infantry only servers twice in a row, which ended up in me dying multiple times from grenade spam. The number of medics also seems to have dropped since I last played.
Oh I also hope they go back to the BF2 class styles, medic with a giant machine gun seems silly to me, an assault rifle with no GL was fine.
BF2's class system but with engineer and anti-tank merged would be best IMO.

Though he has finally stopped giving enough of a damn about CoD since his GPU died to come and play BF2 on my PC occasionally.

I keep the 1.5 patch on my second hard drive. But installing the game itself is a pain in the ass. Thankfully complete edition comes with whatever patch came before 1.5 on the disk.
I have bought Battlefield 2 three times. The first was in 2005 when the game came out.
Then I got it again in 2007 when I moved and lost my discs.
Then in 2010, I bought it again on Steam so I'll won't have to worry about it again.
Still, it was totally worth it for a game I have played and sublimely enjoyed for thousands of hours.
I bought the complete edition because I lost my old discs, so i paid extra for dem boosters, and a couple weeks later 1.5 patch came out and made the booster packs free :saddowns:

like when 1.3 was released and broke the entire game.
Battlefield 3 better not use punkbuster. I can't stand getting kicked for a few minutes randomly. It doesn't even work against cheaters. I have seen quite a few cheaters every 10 to 15 games luckily them getting kicked by admins.

I doubt they would make an anti-cheat system specifically for BF3, so VAC would be the only other logical choice.

Well I guess I just have to hope that punkbuster will have fixed those bugs before the game comes out.
I just went back to try play BF2 and I get an error after like 10 seconds of gameplay. Something like Punkbuster kicked me for 0 minutes because unknown Windows API and I think the error number is like 131133

What mods you plan on using? If you're not using PR or FH2 just play All64 with bots for vBF2 or AIX.

What? All64 is vBF2 but with full bot support and AIX is fun as well and is best played under 1.41.
