Is he actually touching the map? :suicide:
Every single other game I've played it looks like the character is touching a table but he's actually holding his hand above it but now this.. :aaa:

I just noticed their M16s dont have front or rear sights, im going to assume thats because its an alpha though.
All these details pouring in about the game have gotten me real excited.

It's just really hard to see I think, it IS scan quality so.

I think health should regenerate to like 20% to give you a bit of a change to kill other poeple head on after being shot, a medic needs to fully patch you up.

Similar to Halo Reach then.
When you lose health after a few seconds you get 2-3 bars back.

It's there, it's just small. I think with all the Battlefield games that have been released, even in some cases with both Bad Companies, the scaling has been a tad off with weapon models. Not much but, for instance, the M4 in BF2 seemed really small to me. The Rear sights however are off but just like the real counterpart, they can be taken off anyway
I think you should just bleed out if you're not US or EU and you get shot, unless the other side wants to heal you.
China and MEC don't have medics.
I go to sleep and this thread jumps 238 posts?!.
OH FUCK I SEE WHY NOW.
Holy shit Bad company 3 is coming to PC?

Kinda since every past BF game had those before BC came in.
But i guess i just have slightly higher standards than you
So it's not Bad Company 3 then, according to you.
Quit your bitching, at least wait for the gameplays to see how it is.

Why not?
and the MEC doesn't exist, how could you say weather they have medics or not?.
and the MEC doesn't exist, how could you say weather they have medics or not?.
Whaaat? That's an insult to everyone in the Mayville Engineering Company.
And since there only are twelve people working there there are no medics.

I think all good game designers get this.
I think it's a big reason most hardcore gamers would make terrible game designers.

Killstreaks stand in defiance of this notion, it is the very definition of unbalanced.
no one wants to get shot in the face and die continuously for two minutes by a chopper just because some fucking camper got 9 kills.

Even if theres a front one out of sight, theres definatly no back one, im assuming this is because its like a base model then depending on attachments it changes whether it has a carry handle or not.

They all have front sights guys, and what looks like a rear ones but I'm not sure it's hard to make out.
[editline]8th February 2011[/editline]
the guy on the far right has an M4 that definitely has front and rear sights, the guy in the middle with the M16 however only seems to have the front sights.

I said good game designers.

This is I believe because these 'hardcore' gamers are constantly trying to use imbalances and flaws (not necessarily bugs, but sometimes they do this too) in the game to game the system (heh) instead of openly pointing them out as flaws that need to be fixed and not excepting them as game elements that need to be adapted too.
best fps 2011
It'll probably end up being the best fps for 2011 in my book, but I'm betting 20 bucks that the next MW game sweeps all game industry awards.

Also I like how the people don't look as cartoony now.

Fah!, with all the experienced talent gone from IW?, not a chance.
sure they have treyarch to help, but that's not very reassuring.
broke your automerge. :v:
It didn't bother me that much in BC2 since its no supposed to be a super serious shooter but it was kind of strange in MoH.
oh and apparently the MEC are called the PLR (the People's Liberation and Resistance) now.
So are they going to be less organized than the MEC? People's Liberation and Resistance sounds more like a rebel group with limited fundings, unlike the MEC which was a coalition of multiple nations.

might be ragged bands of rebel fighters early in the game's singleplayer (from what the article says it seems like fairly early in the game) at first but then evolve into a more a proper standing army later on and that's what we'll be fighting in the Multiplayer.
We are going to be fighting in Paris and New York after all.
from a lore perspective this is exactly what happened with the MEC in BF2 anyway.
[editline]8th February 2011[/editline]
it also would seem that all of the screens are from the singleplayer campaign.
Yeah, Battlefield 2 seemed to have some sort of linear story line connecting the battles. At first you have the US and EU fighting in the middle east and China, where the MEC is a poor fighting force defending it's own soil. the US seems to lose a lot of battles and withdraw because China starts attacking US locations like wake Island, the EU withdraws the US gets pushed back further and further the MEC and China actually invade the US. Operation road rage seems to be the final map giving BF2 an open ending ( In the discription it says that it's the last stop before Washington )
Altough Middle Eastern nations invading the US seemed a bit far stretched.

Hey, the PLA having expeditionary capabilities is a bit stretched too as well. Maybe the US Navy fell under cheap anti-ship missile spam so both sides can gather a bunch of freighters and use them to ship their heavy armored formations.
Been playing BF2 for the sake of nostalgia. Feels good man. In many ways, i actually think BF2 is better than Black Ops. Bigger maps, better balance, no corner-campers, and so on. Oh, and i don't need a killstreak of 11 just to pilot a god damn helicopter
