Meh, I just play normal BC2 most of the time and aim for the head. I don't need any of that "empty gun magazine close quarters to kill a single person to death 100% even though one bullet is enough" crap, that's for the kids who can't aim. :v:

Can somebody help me with BF2. I get an unknown windows API kick with an error code of something like 1331333 or something like that. And it isn't the Steam version. Something to do with PunkBuster.

If you've added it as a non-steam game you'll have to disable overlay.
If not, update drivers.
If not, check Punkbuster version.

I removed it from my Steam games list. Got the same error.
The exact error is 131133. What drivers should I update? All my Windows Updates are up to date. I should get the newest PunkBuster then? I'll have a look
I just checked the PunkBuster website and they only have 32bit. I am on Windows 7 64bit.

I don't think it matters - try updating PunkBuster regardless.
Also, try updating your .NET Framework - that might help.
Download the PunkBuster client, the autoupdater breaks 25% of the time.

After growing up with Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield 2 I simply can't wait for this game to be released and bring back memories of the countless hours of fun I had with BF2.
Not sure what to expect really, having never played BC and BC2 that much...

If you are on windows 7 it should be .Net 4, otherwise it does seem to be 3.5.
This is kind of off-topic, but I was wondering if someone knew a fix to a DC problem after installing the patch 1,5 on BF2?
I never had this problem pre-1,5 but after the patch I've never been able to play on a server more then around 5 min.
The gamescreen freezes and I get the popup message saying "Lost connection to server".
This happens no matter what server and expansion I play on.
Only reason I'm not able to enjoy BF2 anymore on my computer =/

Is the PC version being developed side-by-side as the console version? Or will it be a port from console?
The more I think about it, the more I hope they are going to take the 2142 approach to classes, unlocks, and rankings. 2142 did a lot of things right, it's a shame so many people passed it by because of where it was set.
Also DICE, that approach includes different default weapons for each team! I sadly don't think they are going to make every unlock three or four times over for each faction, but at least the default weapons (I mean, if there's three factions and four classes, that just twelve guns instead of four).
All we need to complete this year is Episode 3, that would really make this a great year for PC; I'm still hopeful BF3 will show just how many PC users are out there and willing to spend money on a quality product.

They made it sound like BF3 was being made on PC and ported to consoles, but who knows.

Seriously, ever since BF 1942 PB has never autoupdated successfully for me. I have to do it manually every time.
I installed .NET framework 4.0 and got the same API 1331333 error thing. Any other suggestions? Really want to play some BF2.
