Well it's a possibility with Destruction 3.0 and Frostbite 2.0.
They should do it like Red Faction Guerilla's and use Cuda(Nvidia) and OpenCL(ATi) to simulate physics on the GPU. Obv. make it optional but I'd like to see cuda / cl accelerated physics in BF3.
I agree. The destruction of all the buildings in an area should be a very long effort.
Exactly, if large buildings falling down should be a rare occurrence. If it is, they could stay entertaining pretty much forever.
One thing that really bothers me about bc2's destruction is that you can only blow up walls, no ceiling destruction whatsoever. Another thing is that the only way for a building collapse is to get rid of all the walls, no physics or anything comes in.
I hope they fix that for BF3.
I hope they make the building's collapse actually kill you too this time, instead of just drawing a big box around the building and slaying anyone inside.
How am I supposed to be a badass action hero running out of a building as it collapses around me if I just have a sudden fatal heart attack the seconds the first piece of plaster hits the floor?

I would think with the earthquake in BF3, they'd take steps to address that. So we'll have to wait and see how destruction will work in the new engine.
All I care about is JIHAD JEEP. God, its so fucking awesome!

Yeah, if it was single player then sure, but seeing how everyone in multiplayer have to have exactly the same effects when it comes to destruction, I dont think the optional part will work.
I finally got Battlefield 2 working again.
My steam copy didn't work, as it constantly reset the key in the regedit, so after reinstalling 6 times and trying every fix in the book, I decided it was time to go talk to EA. They were very helpful, but I had to go through the chat procedure TWICE (the wait times are ridiculous). In the end, I was given a new key for my EA account, and had to re download it via EA DM. Well, it works now but all that trouble was ridiculous.
Which half of the games are published/developed by them companies so most games are $60 standard.
Fuck off with your "lol 60 $ is so much"
In sweden we have to pay 69 EUROS.
Which is 93 dollars!
BF2 combat is horribly broken, we tested it on a LAN party, we stood 10 meters away from each other and shot, nothing happened. Took a mag to kill someone, only efficient way to kill people is by driving them over, or tanks.
works just fine for me, had a server up a while ago, no problems at all, and that wasn't even on a lan

I'm english, it will be about £30-£40 for the pc, so that price is fine for me, so please read what I said instead of adding "lol $60 is so much" comment when I actually didn't say that, thank you.
-snip when did the euro go that high?-
60€ is about 480 NOK.
-snip when did the euro go that high?-
Since the dollar went to shit.
Just noticed the screenshots for BF3, it looks pretty good. Still looks a little bit too much like BC2/MoH though.
I will be paying $129.95 AUD which is $129.95 USD for this.
Dear Europeans, _|_

You're right they should go back to 2005 graphics they were obviously much better than what we have today
[editline]14th February 2011[/editline]
Hell they should just re-release BF2 as BF3
Since the dollar went to shit.
I guess.
Well, console games cost about 90-100$ here, and pc games 80$.

Once you install it, it will precisely be a computer executable instead of something you'll be holding.

I'm sure that the copies you pre-order are Limited Edition. The only thing EA wants is that you buy the game from a retailed, so that they earn money. If you buy the game used, they don't earn anything, which is the situation they want to avoid.
