I got just a CD-key from G2PLAY, worked fine.
Not sure about changing it though. You could probably change it in the registry like all other games.
Does the website email you the key after you complete the order? And about how long did it take to recieve the email?
I know some of you will hate me for saying this but, BF2 was a bit slow paced compared to BC2. Even with 24 players on a small map in BF2 was slow compared to a small map with 24 players in BC2. I know that it's supposed to be realistic but it's a video game, c'man. Maybe a mix between the two would work well, but I want it to be fast paced.
I feel as if that depends on the map. Strike at Karkand can be pretty ridiculous at times while other maps like Gulf of Oman have more spread out fighting. At least from my experience.
Playing BF2 with Back in Black :frogc00l:

Yeah but you get a full server on a map like Karkand and you'll wish you hadn't
"Our grenades will blot out the SUN!"
I'm just going to wait for that BF3 Limited Box Edition of the game and pre-order it when it's announced
Any idea when game publishers usually announce the Limited Box Edition of games? Can't wait :v:

I'm sure that the copies you pre-order are Limited Edition. The only thing EA wants is that you buy the game from a retailed, so that they earn money. If you buy the game used, they don't earn anything, which is the situation they want to avoid.

I believe this is correct, according to a dev's tweet who said any pre orders will recieve the limited edition dlc.
They may take our commander.
They may take our classes.
But they will NEVER! NERF! OUR MEDICS!
Or I will defib myself to death.
The one thing I hate about this game is the hit-detection. It's fucking ridiculous.
The one thing I hate about this game is the hit-detection. It's fucking ridiculous.
Yeah nice one being a fanboy and rating this guy dumb.
bad hit-detection is one of the major problems of Battlefield, they did improve alot on BC2 though.
The one thing I hate about this game is the hit-detection. It's fucking ridiculous.
How the hell did this guy get a disagree and a dumb, BF2 and BC2 both had absolutely horrid hit-detection.

Especially on shotguns.
Anyone know where I could buy JUST a CD-Key for BF2? Also is it possible to change the CD-key after BF2 is already installed?
you can change you cd-key in the support folder in the program files (there is an exe that does it), but it doesn't always work.
Ok, reinstalling BF2, too much nostalgia to handle.
How do I go about patching?
Do I need the 1.41 full client? And then patch it to 1.50? Or is there any more patches?
god damnit why didn't i read the page
The one thing I hate about this game is the hit-detection. It's fucking ridiculous.
I rated dumb because he complained about hit detection in an unreleased game.
Pretty sure he was talking about a different game.

They're both bad but BC2's is a lot better than BF2 even if it is pretty bad compared to other modern games.

I think he was talking about BF2 or maybe the BF series in general.

'Cause I thought it was fine.
Except with shotguns.

Hit detection was shit.
I rated dumb because he complained about hit detection in an unreleased game.
Okay, so I should have clarified; was referring to Battlefield 2.
BF2 Spec Ops G36C unlock is so freaking great.
I can't wait to get the SCAR
Been going on for a while, but I just got a yes on BF3 questions so ask ANYTHING now!
http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1053093-we-interview-zh1nt0-with-your-questions!
Can I sit in on the meeting? I'd like to find out things first hand, and I think you know I'm good for it.
Regardless, I think I'll wait till after GDC to ask questions - I don't even know what to ask right now.
nope
[editline]15th February 2011[/editline]
nope
Ah well, it was worth a shot.
Does anyone know when the Battlefield 3 feature on Game Informer's site begins? I would've thought around the same time the magazine was mostly out and about, but nothing yet.
One feature is already.
Do you mean the one where the interview the director or whatever?
Dice are the only people that can take a series, maintain the same gameplay with some updated graphics and weapons, and still have it fun by the 7th game.
Where they interview Demize99 yeah
Him?
http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2011/02/11/dice-interview-building-battlefield-3.aspx
That's Karl Magnus Troedsson, aka L_Twin.
My problem with BF2 is the weapon ranges are dismal. 2142 felt a lot better, and BC2 was perfect.

I never found that I had that gripe if I'm honest. If anything I liked that amount. If they can recreate the level of hilarity and fun I had on BF2, I'm willing to brush off a minimal weapon selection for that experience
