It's an opinion, people can like Crysis more than Battlefield.
No.
Yeeah, no.
how many people still play 1942?
Well that's cause Battlefield is the better game overall..
you're comparing two very different games
how many people still play 1942?
a decent amount, if not you can always play with bots
Crysis wars was pretty much battlefield 2142 with supersoldiers.
My little conversation with Alan Kertz. Dice treat their employees like people. They make their games with love and not uber seriousness. They always cough up something unique with its own great qualities. They're Swedish. That's reason enough for me to like Dice.
you're comparing two very different games a decent amount, if not you can always play with bots
I'm not comparing them, it's better in popularity wise.
I hope for more singleplayer features. Maybe not a campaign but some AI fights are always fun in my book.
I hope for more singleplayer features. Maybe not a campaign but some AI fights are always fun in my book.
I am just hoping for a proper coop mode this time around for the pc.
I am just hoping for a proper coop mode this time around for the pc.
If you're complaining about the lack of bots on 32/64 player maps, there are mods that have full bot support. I hope assault rifles don't have grenade launchers unconditionally anymore.
I hope assault rifles don't have grenade launchers unconditionally anymore.
Medics had assault rifles without the GL.
I REALLY hope Medics dont have LMG's anymore, only Support/Assault should have that :colbert:
I REALLY hope Medics dont have LMG's anymore, only Support/Assault should have that :colbert:
Yes, medics should have an SMG or a shotgun IMO.
I really hope they don't spend all their time at GDC talking about singleplayer. I fear they will though, and only briefly talk about multiplayer.
That's pretty much how the article in the magazine went, a whole bunch of stuff about singleplayer and then some Q&A about Multiplayer.
Yes, medics should have an SMG or a shotgun IMO.
I think Assault Rifle would be the best, like an M16 and AK101 like in BF2.
That's pretty much how the article in the magazine went, a whole bunch of stuff about singleplayer and then some Q&A about Multiplayer.
Except I'm sure we can safely assume the MP will be great so asking about SP is acceptable.
That's pretty much how the article in the magazine went, a whole bunch of stuff about singleplayer and then some Q&A about Multiplayer.
Still, those pictures were fucking gorgeous. I can not wait to see it all in motion. I am so fucking excited!
And i hate it when people seatswitching like crazy.
I like riding in helicopters with my repair gun out.
I sorta want choppers to be able to take a hit from an Abrams tank shell again, It's sorta annoying getting blown out of the sky instantly by one on BC2.
I don't see the reason for the hate on realism... sure there is a point at which it becomes too much, but civilians would be cool. You'd have to scope out a building and make sure there aren't any civilians inside before blowing it up, take into consideration where your fire is going, etc... will cut down on the spam (that I hate at least) in FPS games can always be implemented in an optional hardcore mode too
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/wvdyZ.jpg[/img_thumb]
what game is this from?
what game is this from?
I think it's from a game called 'Real life'.
what game is this from?
Looks like a picture of HAWX with the path chooser from Mass Effect edited in.

Civilians would be a awful addition to the game. Battlefield has always been a arcade shooter, there is little to no realism in the game. Sticking it onto BF3 would be like taking CS: S and sticking ballistic effects like bullet drop on it. It isn't part of the game, it shouldn't even be considered as a option.

A tank shell distorting the metal of a helicopter, shredding whatever it hits with damage-per-area detection. The future is bright.
http://planetbattlefield.gamespy.com/fullstory.php?id=164376
Woop! This, and 5 days 'till GDC. Dis gun be gud!
Except adding civilians for an SDK/sandbox would be fun. Also, Project Reality has civilians.
Is Project Reality Battlefield? Nope? Okay then. PR is a mod, just because it works under a mod that tries to be more realistic does not mean it will work in the main game itself when the main game is more arcade like. I could understand having them in the single player, SDK or Sandbox should one be released. but in the actual multi player they will be more a hindrance than a good, fun, feature.
