I didn't play the mod, but isn't it just a bunch of civilian models standing around in a school map? Sounds like something that might have been kinda fun 5 years ago.

They're not going to make someone shoot another person, but they're influential on opinions. In COD you're shooting waves after waves of x group and nobody really cares. When MW2 came out and at the end you had to shoot Americans, I saw posts on bulletin boards where people were freaking out and saying they felt terrible.

I believe that this mod is in bad taste, but I do believe in freedom of expression and think that this shouldn't have been taken down. Though if it wasn't Moddb might have been hurt. I'm not entirely sure what to think?

I remember in the actual "Bully" game you could kill kids with a firework gun thing so I'm not sure how that slipped by because it was much more mainstream.

As for the Bully thing, I thought the same guy, that former lawyer that complained about Half-Life also said Rockstar Game's Bully was a Columbine simulator, at that time I don't think he was disbarred yet.
I personally wouldn't have removed the mod, but I don't blame moddb for being lame or something.
This thing is media dynamite and I don't think people being all mad at the admins realize what kind of extreme risk it means to have your site associated with something that could set the public off as much as this mod. Gamers with a morbid sense of humor are a vast minority in this affair and the general public and media would come crushing down on the site and the community. So I think they are right to disassociate themselves from school shooter. If you create extreme controversy on purpose, thats fine and I am looking forward to the mod. But don't bring your media attention don on all of us.

Last time I heard about this mod it really just looked like shit anyway.
If they actually released something that was unique and had some great game-play then I'd play the shit out of it, poor-taste or not I wouldn't care.
