Ask them when they'll release the new Source SDK tools / when the new main engine branch will be available for people to use Biohazard was hired by Valve, so we should expect something cool soon
He wasn't hired by them, he went for an interview.
Why did Kelly Baily quit?
Why did Kelly Baily quit?
Gabe ate his lunch to many times even though it was in a clearly marked paper bag.
When will the TF2 AI be expanded for stuff like CTF? Will they ever add the "Hunted" Gamemode?
How it's when new people such IceFrog joining the team?
Ask if they want to support DOTA 2 as a true e-sport, like blizzard is doing with starcraft 2. Will there be tournaments hosted by valve for example?
Pfft, [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9038221/shutupmeatmuppetyoufuckingdonkey.png[/img_thumb] It'd be nice if they could just move away from baked lighting instead of leaving it to modders like Biohazard. It'd make everyone's job a lot easier.
it may not be dynamic but it looks fine, stop whining.
it may not be dynamic but it looks fine, stop whining.
Who's whining? It's not my fault Valve are lazy, and it's not like I need their tech anyway.
Ask him what is up with the € / $ conversion. Or maybe not, they'll probably not answer. But it would be great for us north-west europeans, excluding UK, to know why we have to pay 25% more for everything. If you don't know about this, I'll be happy to fill you in with the exact numbers, areas and that stuff.
Will DOTA 2 have items and a micro transaction system too?
Will DOTA 2 be on the Source engine?
They've kept baked mapping because although it's not all dynamic and fancy, it's incredibly quick and good for performance on bad computers.
They've kept baked mapping because although it's not all dynamic and fancy, it's incredibly quick and good for performance on bad computers.
Pfft, doesn't mean they can't add OPTIONAL_DYNAMIC_LIGHTING.exe
Ask if they'll ever actually get around to releasing the last two "Meet the Team" videos, or if they're waiting for a couple more fairly large TF2 events to release them. Seriously, it's been like two years since Meet the Spy.
Who's whining? All VALVe has to do is do streamed maps & lightmaps and Pow insta-win there.
Ask for a cryptic hint about what their next IP will be that will only make sense when the new IP comes out

You're never going to ask this, but ask what the origin of Gabe's steam name is.
You're never going to ask this, but ask what the origin of Gabe's steam name is.
Probably his full name. [editline]12th March 2011[/editline] Can you ask if there will be any comics for the Half Life/Portal series like they've done with Left 4 Dead and Team fortress 2?

Valve isn't going to answer questions like these. If you want to know if this will be done, wait for a future announcement.
Why are they porting L4D1 campagins to L4D2? Doesn't that eliminate the purpose of haveing L4D1? Why buy L4D1 when its in L4D 2?
Can you please ask if they plan to release another book like Half-Life: Raising The Bar?
Why are they porting L4D1 campagins to L4D2? Doesn't that eliminate the purpose of haveing L4D1? Why buy L4D1 when its in L4D 2?
Because L4D was a mistake and L4D2 is the superior more balanced game.
Why are they porting L4D1 campagins to L4D2? Doesn't that eliminate the purpose of haveing L4D1? Why buy L4D1 when its in L4D 2?
Because people who enjoy L4D2 want to play the maps in L4D2 officially with the current setup. People who still play L4D1 will continue to play L4D1 because they don't like change. You shouldn't buy L4D1 anymore, L4D2 exists. If you ever wanted to buy L4D1, you should have bought it when it was first released. And before people start bitching of the point of buying it then, there was a point: to enjoy the game when it came out. I know I did and I got a few hundred hours out of it and it's one of my favorite games. Also why hasn't the OP updated the thread with his choices of our questions yet?
Because of DOTA2's RTS-Like style, is it entirely out of the question that Valve may venture in the RTS genre? Perhaps a TF2 based strategy game?
In Half-Life 2, what was the most challenging level to make, and what was the funnest level to make?
What's their opinions on the other game distribution systems, like GFWL, Desura, and XLive?
