The most beautiful or good looking game you've played?

Split/second is pretty nice.
Bioshock 1/2, or TF2. They keep me coming back, all the time.
I really did love the way Far Cry 2 looked.

This chart is innacurate, I'd put TF2 way higher, and Halo slightly into the dip. Where you put TF2 is where an inanimate object, such as a toaster, goes. The faces in the Halo series creeped me out slightly, they look really off, and I'm not talking about low quality.

Look at all that brown. Mmmm, brown.
Gets the point of the game across with that style.
Runescape

Because everything was vector, it still looks fairly decent.

Bad Company 2 looks pretty good.
Actually BC2 looks terrible. It doesn't look anything like that.
Just Cause 2 is one of the best looking games I've played. It's awesome.

And The Hunter. But I'm pretty sure that's using the same engine JC2 is. :v:

Ignore the labels underneath. I put TF2 as the baseline completely unrealistic but still recognisable. Then went from there following the curve.
Assasins Creed 2

How did I forget about Wings of Prey?
Wow that looks better than Hawx.
Hahahahah Hawx.
It is better than that game in every respect.
Artistically, FFXII was the shit when it came out. It wasn't all wapanese like the rest of the series.
Technically I would say Crysis has the best graphics but really Shadow of the Colossus is the only game that leaves me breathless.
Also Metro 2033, ARMA II has great environments but the people look really weird, plus the particles are terrible.
Diablo 1 and 2 (the originals before they released these shit isometeric large characters thing)
Red Dead Redemption, especially Mexico. Seriously, go ride around in the desert for a bit.
Games like these make me wish I had a better computer. . . .
I have a fucken' Toshiba Satellite.
Red Dead Redemption. The sunsets and storms along with everything else is outstanding in comparison to any game.

I played it for a week, and was like :aaa:, then I found out I had my Xbox set to normal display, switched it over to HD and I was like :hawaaaafap:
Mass Effect 2 is one of the most beautiful games I've played. The graphics themselves might not be the best in the world, but the game covers that with cinematic beauty. It's probably the only game I've played that continuously makes me think "Wow, that looks fucking awesome" during something as simple as a conversation.

Images don't really give ME2 justice because you can't capture cinematic motion and such with them.
Red Dead Redemption looks pretty fucking good. Mass Effect 2 has the best cinematography out of any game I've played though.
judging from this thread i want to buy rdr now. I want it for pc though :saddowns:
Some of the shots in Shattered Horizon

I remember with Just Cause 2, one of the first things I did was get onto a high spot and look at the world below me, it really wasn't as epic as I had imagined. However, when I stood on one of those viewpoints on Assassin's Creed 2, I found that to be epic. As far as it goes, I'd say both Just Cause 2 and Assassin's Creed 2 were good looking games for me, I would spend alot of time just looking at shit, especially in AC2.
Team Fortress 2, Battlefield Heroes. Half Life 2 and Episode 2 had their moments.
Braid
Just Cause 2
Shadow of the Colossus
^ Hell yeah

Good job, that's a pre-rendered video.
Reality is beautiful.
Only sometimes. You know, real piece of turd is still a piece of turd. I don't find pieces of turd beautiful.
On the other hand, there are many completely surreal images that are beautiful even tho they don't look realistic at all.
