Romka should be at least be mentioned since the combine are build up on his base.
So Romka wrote Raising the Bar? Pretty sure he did not.
I've always know about Raising the bar, but when I had enough money for it I couldn't find anywhere that sold it. Anyone help me?
Raising the Bar is out of stock, and isn't printed anymore. Even Valve is running out of copies, and aren't selling them to anyone.
Seems a bit short-sighted on Valve's part if it seems to be that popular.
Guess I'll wait for the interactive book known as 'Missing Information' then :D
If you want you could try ebay and such.

The only real way to get it is via E-books, but if you're really looking to get a physical copy then your only bet is Ebay.

Shit, I'm glad I got my physical copy, then. Didn't know it would actually be a collector's item one day.

Yeah I got mine right before they went out of print. Really cool book too.
If they're gonna add anything they should definitely add the trippy Alpha Hazard Course map.
Wow, I suppose this won't come in the same time as Black Mesa mod (hopefully they'll release in 2009), so I'll have new mod to look forward to.
Honestly this might turn out nicely if the developers do their best.

Of course not, he made the combine modelbase these combine are using.
Wait... This is released already? What's in it? I mean, it's finished?
The mod sucks atm, glad they are updating.
Well so far the mod just serves as a good Gmod resource and a door crack to the past in working condition.

Exactly. It was only a bunch of beta map showcases slapped together with guns and some old-new NPCs.
Now it looks like one of the mods I'd gladly download, everything looks too awesome for it's older versions.
I hope that we at least get around to the old Wasteland or outside of C17 if they're making it in parts.
Are you going to add the hydra?
Of course not, he made the combine modelbase these combine are using.
Where are you getting this ridiculous idea?
The mod sucks atm, glad they are updating.
Care to elaborate what you think makes it suck? Hard to improve on it if the only criticism we get is stuff like this ;)
Where are you getting this ridiculous idea?
Shut up and listen to him, he's right, I made my version of the old concept soldier and Red used my model to create his own with different pants and gluvs. You can ask him yourself.
Oh okay then.
make sure you add some cut-out engine technology. footprints, the combine guard having breakable armor, the shield scanner (this one is easy; i've converted it easily), and fog rippling when stepping through it.
The new combine remind me of the Enclave soldiers from Fallout 2.

You mean old combine, and yes they do.
Also I hear it's scheduled for release today. Whoo!
Are you working on the prototype (Characters like the Consul, Eli Maxwell or the early Alyx Vance. Additional chapters, the Borealis, Air Exchange and the never worked Weather Control. 1999-2002) or the beta? (Very like the retail Half-Life 2, but with different weapons and NPCs. 2002-2003)

I'm nice at mapping, hope i can contact with the team!
I also noticed they have yet to take advantage of the OB particle systems...

New Combine, since it's a new model and all.
I so excited for this mod.

Old Combine, since the concept was one of the early versions.
Lets compromise: Old Concept, New Model. Everybody wins.

Where's the good idea rating when you need it :S
