Because it's showing that they're still active?
Ahhh ok, so do you have to do all the animation world movement manually?
No, the decompiler takes care of everything :)
Why post this now when you posted this back in early November. I even fucking commented on this when it came out.
I forgot to post it here, and I haven't been at the computer for a long time. So I decided to post it here. I don't hope I offended you by doing so.
"One of our mappers is currently MIA, that's the official explanation for the delay." In case anyone looks at the moddb page and rages
No, the decompiler takes care of everything :)
Well that's some great coding then. Not even the current decompilers for retail do that.
I really need to visit this forum more often, I didn't even know about the existence of this mod until 10 minutes ago
Well that's some great coding then. Not even the current decompilers for retail do that.
Thanks. We've noticed that Cannonfodder's doesn't do the checks for most of the bit flags that's needed for proper movement.
Thanks. We've noticed that Cannonfodder's doesn't do the checks for most of the bit flags that's needed for proper movement.
Yea, kinda annoying.
This mod has been around for awhile now.
I noticed that. So it will continue to be released in episodes, or what?
This mod has been around for awhile now.
MI is the mod that just won't die, and thank god for that.

I see that you did the same thing I did and used the antlion worker's spit code:

I wonder, what about the T-Dog popcans? http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20090706130953/half-life/en/images/e/e3/T_Dog_can_yellow.jpg http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20090706130953/half-life/en/images/0/0e/T_Dog_can_red.jpg

Your Houndeye effect is interesting, but could use some tweaking.

any updates?
any updates?
You didnt have to bump a 2 year old thread to ask for updates... You could check the site.
any updates?
What a good reason to bump.
You didnt have to bump a 2 year old thread to ask for updates... You could check the site.
Uh, 4 month thread...
Uh, 4 month thread...
Umm, who ever hit disagree, he kinda right, the tread was active 4 months ago, with media updates. So while the thread may have been started 2 years ago, that isn't when the last post was made.
The last thing I remember is getting MI from Desura, because they said Desura will automatically update MI! The system did look like Steam, and since the Desura accounts use the same as ModDB, I figured, I got time to waste, so far, I have not gotten the Hyperborea ship in to take the place of the original Borealis yet, so, I will still be waiting for an update. Its great that the Desura developer contacted MI so it could go on their equivalent of Steam, but it looks like this Desura thing, seems like they simply intended to be another game's market place, but I guess "the Steam equivalent for mods" works for me, since regular Steam does not host MI. While I wonder why MI as of last year could have not gone on regular Steam directly, maybe it has to do with Valve still not being happy about HL2's early history getting revisited, and continued, otherwise having MI get automatically updated, without going to a website interested me. You have to give MI credit though versus BMS. MI, continuously worked on, but finished stuff released in stages, where as BMS not officially public, as far as I know.
Fuck I want raising the bar so BAD. $150 on ebay? WHAT THE FUUUUU- valve needs to make a new order of those damn books.
Fuck I want raising the bar so BAD. $150 on ebay? WHAT THE FUUUUU- valve needs to make a new order of those damn books.
I agree, I really want this book badly.
I have it . :smug:
I sent gabe an email about the book, maybe it'll be like the time I got the tf2 cards for free and gabe will send me the book for free since it's impossible to find, pretty sure he's got a few copies in the Valve Storeroom.
Valve aren't handing out the copies they've got left, I've already asked since they owe me a copy. I did find a copy on eBay for $80 though, so I bought that. Junk, MI co-lead bought a copy for $60 which got lost in the mail. He got a refund, and it turned up a week later, so basically a free copy :P We are incredibly close to releasing a new version soon :)!

Enough time to release it before Portal 2
I think what would be even better is if Raising the Bar was revised, and demonstrated the concepts for the other games, like Portal. I am sure there are some interesting old concepts drawn up that GlaDOS even looks different. I mean, there is no way any one game from anyone just has one first concept drawn, and stuck to that concept all the way through until finishing, but considering MI almost got banned for life in the beginning by Valve, that might mean Valve may not want to reveal their secrets, even just unused concept art for other games, if they did, they could of just told us something about the next Half-Life by now.
We didn't get banned for life. Valve said they're cool with it as long as we don't touch the leaked source code. There's a PDF eBook floating around on the net of Raising the Bar.
