If I suddenly feel like I need to buy an Xbox 360 I'd buy a used one from someone I know.
Preferably the old white one
If I were to ever buy an Xbox then yeah, but current gen of consoles just aren't my thing.
Nope, I already have an old one (from launch).
Not right now, once holiday arrives I'll be looking for deals though.
Certainly not! to put it in Isaac Kleiner`s words.
I bought an arcade back in `07 and it has never RROD`d me.
So what if it`s noicy,i`ve grown too attached to let it go now.
So no.i wouldn`t buy this, and im not going to "upgrade" to the PS3 slim either.
Mince is actually crashing a lot, and I'm affraid it's about to definetly shut down.
Since the new xbox will be sold at the same price I'll probably get it then.
Yeah pretty much, the sooner this tax rebate comes through the better. My girlfriend has already called dibs on my current Xbox.
It's not compatible with my memory cards and hard drives, so no.
It is a nice improvement.
I enjoy the new design, the 250 GB hard drive is a great improvement over the standard 20. Also, the wireless built in isn't too bad.
And to RibbonHead09 they said it was all compatible. I don't know where you got your information?
Maybe if live would be free, i'll stick to my PS3 right now.

Then GameSpot was lying, they said that it has NO memory card slots (that is true) and uses an internal HDD slot.
My buddy sold his elite and bought the new 360 yesterday. It's quieter for sure and looks better, but I think he's crazy.
Don't trade a backwards compatible PS3 in. That can net you a pretty penny if you sell it online at somewhere like eBay.
That's what I was thinking of doing. I'm going to wait a bit though, the new Xbox seems to have disc drive issues (eating games) and most of the games I'll want aren't coming out until around November or so.
Hopefully that issue will be worked on, if not, oh well. I'll probably end up selling it whenever I get the chance.

I already got an xbox 360 and i see how people looking for a console might want the new one, but to me it seems that the xbox 360 has no future for the next 5 years.
Games will not become better graphics wise while the ps3 games become better and better over time.
xbox 360 used to be the cheap alternative to a ps3 as most games were multi platform and there were not many ps3 exclusives. But now it's different.
You can find a ps3 for less than a xbox 360 250 slim.
I already have an Elite model, so no.

The whole disc-eating thing is blown out of proportion. ALL Xbox 360 models do that. That's why there's a giant sticker across the disc drive when you first take it out of the box that says "DO NOT MOVE CONSOLE WHILE DISC IS IN THE DRIVE". All you have to do is never move the console while there's a disc in the drive. It's really not that hard to do.
There's a risk of destroying a disc by moving the device in virtually all disc drives in all devices. You just have to not be an idiot. Eject discs when you're going to move your console. That's all you have to do.
No happy with my PC + PS3
It's very sexy, but I'll stick to my classic.
I already have the first one, I realized about a year ago that it sucks cock compared to the PS3. There's no way I'm ever going to get another microsoft system.
elite w/ 120 gb fo lyfe
the only game that i want to play that ist in the pc is RDR, but knowing rockstar they will bad-portit in like a year.
soooooo PC 4 EVER + WII
No.
If I didn't have an Xbox, I would buy it ofcourse.
But what's the point if I already have a working Xbox with internet connection...
No, i already have one and it's perfectly fine.

Old, and nobody cares about your Xbox fanboyism.
Well, definitely. It's the same price as the old one, and is smaller, looks nicer, and has better features. You'd be dumb to not, if you were planning on getting one. However, I have a normal one, and I'm not going to upgrade.
Old one had a price drop to make room for it's younger brother.
Also, all these new features you mention don't have any actual effect on the console itself. It's smaller (whoopy), supposedly quieter (why wasn't it to begin with?), glossy(finger prints galore!), internal HDD (no more HDD swapping), power button isn't a button(why?), wi-fi(again, why wasn't this in before?), external power supply(you know, the brick that plugs into the wall?), RRoD Indicator removed(this makes no sense at all). It is the exact same as the 360 Core model and you're paying more for it when you can get the core model for cheaper. And they still didn't figure out how to put the power supply inside the darned thing.
And don't say anything about kinect because it's compatible with ALL Xbox 360's. The back of your Core360 has a USB plug, use that one if the front two are occupied.

Standard is and has been 60. 20gb was the standard back in the first 2 years the xbox came out.

Oi! And now we can observe a natural sony fanboy, in a real HAWSTILE environment, stealthily appraoching it's prey, then as soon as anyone says anything negative about it's beloved console, it STROIKES, hitting anyone who disagrees with him, with the fanboy label and concealing itself deep within the dense foliage once more.
No, I just got my Xbox 360 arcade edition. It works fine so what's the point of buying a new one?
No I wouldn't, I don't need it, I can do just fine playing games on 720p on the HDTV. It's not like all games support 1080p on the console anyway. No reason for me to trade in my old one for a hundred and something bucks. I'd feel like I'm getting ripped off further.
