This is pretty awesome when playing with friends. Although lag pretty much ruins it. I just dared to host a game with no password. One guy game in and started a turn and then half way through his turn, someone else joined and reset the game and they both left.
He probably needs to fix some minor problems though... Like the game tends to become a bit laggy sometimes, especially when the money pile is moved around. Also the top of the board and the screen is a small gap where the dices often get stuck so you can't see what they landed on. Other than that, the ability to toggle the chat for when you're using skype and such, and being able to pick up multiple coins the same way you can pick up dices would be nice.
In the todo.txt on GitHub, it looks like he already recognises a few things to change.
Interface: Manual Pick up multiple coins at once Graphics: UI display (windows and borders?) Lower top barrier for easier dice read? Some benefit to doubles Some way to tell when others are zoomed Automatically right orientation of blood tokens Clarify limbo Easier way to put cards on bottom of deck Some way to take other player's equipment Maybe wilderness tile
And there should be a better way to put cards back in a stack.
And there should be a better way to put cards back in a stack.
It's not that bad IMO. It works like a real stack of cards, which I like.
I think a viable solution to that would be assigning mouse2 to pick up the entire stack and mouse1 to pick up the top card. That'd make it pretty fast.
Unflinching Sword is broken as fuck, haha. A player in my session had that and Thirsty Sword so he could re-roll 3 times and he got 1 health from winning. Oh and the +1 to all attack rolls.
Guy joins game in progress "Knock knock" "who's there" "this game" "this game who" "THIS GAME FUCKIN' SUCKS" and then he proceeded to destroy everything. with a lifepoint chip. The damage. And then he restarted the game.
I once got 2 unflinching swords, and I figured they stacked. I won by a lot.

I got 2 unflincing swords and implemented this rule to feel like less of a dickbag.
Another house rule I've run twice is that we don't put money in limbo and when you die on the altar you just go back to town but you get to keep your gold. Otherwise if you put money in limbo, you usually end up having a shortage of money to get from monsters.
could just put the gold into the bounty pile [editline]24th November 2012[/editline] or spawn more
How do you spawn more :S
-Alter allows you to take gold from limbo for two life or draw one for one life. You must choose one no matter what. -Brittle blade is only one use. -Thirsty sword is discarded if you roll a 1, 2, or 3 -Unflinching sword is broken into two parts. (two separate cards) Part 1 allows you to add 1 to your battle roll. Part 2 allows you to reroll twice if you lose. -If you defeat a player in a battle you can choose to either take one equipment or all their coin(s). Some changes I think would help balance the game a bit. Any suggestions?

[editline]24th November 2012[/editline] By the way, where is your avatar from, nerdygamer?
Damn it, I keep being unable to join games :( It just joins forever without actually doing anything
I just read the creation myth they wrote for this game, pretty damn cool.
If anyone wants to play join this TeamSpeak 3 server (with a microphone!!!): fellowsgame.net First few people to make a group of 4 gets to play I guess (if you have more people past that then feel free to make another group ad hoc).
Every fucking server is passworded.
Every fucking server is passworded.
becasue theres some idiots that flip everything [editline]24th November 2012[/editline] wait so what connection are we going to on that teamspeak
my friend and I made an in-house rule to remove the rerolling ability on the unflinching sword. just the +1 to rolls makes you much more likelier mathematically to win
unflinching sword is so broken though in only 7 days it's pretty hard to get the game balance perfect
4 player game with sort of custom rules Friend duels another and then loses even though he has op cards, doesn't want to give up his gold and somehow ends up in everyone flipping cards and throwing coins This is the most hillarious game I've played in a while
This is actually pretty fun. Just finished playing this over LAN with a buddy and drinking scotch. BOARD GAME SIMULATOR 2012
This is actually pretty fun. Just finished playing this over LAN with a buddy and drinking scotch. BOARD GAME SIMULATOR 2012
Someone needs to add bottle and glasses, so you could get drunk and spill stuff over it. :v:
Anybody want to run a game over the teamspeak?
Wolfire you magnificent bastards.
Needs a DnD mod.
Also needs a Munchkin mod!
Monopoly mod.
