I wonder how you could port Arkham Horror into this considering the monster bag mechanic. [editline]26th November 2012[/editline] That would be cool since I only get to play that game about once a year
So is anyone really interested in creating their own board game? I'm a pretty bad 3d Modeller, but I certainly need the practice and wouldn't mind helping a group create some stuff.
Anyone want to play a game? I just took the time to learn the rules but every time I start an open game some guy joins it and says "Server going down" then crashes my game.
That moment when two people go to pick up/move cards at once, only to have them go everywhere IT BEGINS [editline]27th November 2012[/editline] I've seen games devolve into people just throwing cards around and stacking money.

I really want to see this developed into an open source game-maker. I feel like It would make an incredibly fun game to be able to design and play any tabletop RPG online and with the real feel of a game. Would be great for DnD or people's custom games.
I can't stand playing with unorganized people. Really need to start and FP group.
As soon as I downloaded Desperate Gods I knew I wanted to add to the game so I've started, so far I'm extremely early in, but my goal is to add 10 cards into every deck, to make the game last longer, because I've noticed with 4 people the game goes by quick. Here's an example of what I'm starting with. I need to fix some stuff, as you can see and obviously add different flavors to the cards but it should be minor fixes to those cards, and obviously finish the other 43 or so cards. I plan on adding bosses, as shown in the example. They will always be one roll harder than the toughest monster in the area, but offer great rewards, or devastating losses. I would also like to ass new items you can find within the deep parts of the dungeon, and new locations too. If anyone has any criticism/suggestions that would be great, or even if you want to contribute some of your own cards/ideas, I'd be more than happy to add them as long as they don't unbalance the game. Art is from MTG.
So a friend and I have started work on two separate mods for this. Risk, which should only be a couple-days-long project and some board game I've never heard of that I'm just doing all the art and shit for.

If you convert it I'll be incredibly happy. Do Risk 2210 A.D :D
I can't stand playing with unorganized people. Really need to start and FP group.
I think someone has to mod in a dedicated server. Then I or preferably someone else could make a server and i'd put it in OP.
Hmm, I just made a ornstein/smough card...ive been thinking what if we made a darksouls board game.

was just going to dick around for 5 minutes and see what exactly this was all about, ended up spending 2 hours playing it against myself 57-20 green curbstomped yellow
How do you mod the game? I'm interested making a full MTG conversion for the game.
Its open source, so I would assume hes editing the source.
How do you mod the game? I'm interested making a full MTG conversion for the game.
You need the Unity Engine, but the pro version.
This is actually a really fun game engine. Why hasn't there ever been a board/card game like this in real life before? :v: I would totally buy a physical copy of this game for 50$.

I usually play a lot of Eurogames and coop heavy stuff like BSG, and vanilla Risk is awful, but I have heard really good things about legacy.

I just purchased Risk 2210 A.D. and it was loads of fun.

Do Risk 2210 A.D :D
I've only played classic and I'm trying to stay faithful to that so I'm adapting a modern map to the same basic layout (same amount of control points per continent, same connections, etc). My friend who's doing all of the modeling is sick in bed and has been hocking up guts for a day now, though, so it might be postponed a bit. Almost all of the texturing is done and I'm working on writing in all of the cards now. [editline]28th November 2012[/editline] I had two more ideas I wanted to start work on while I'm waiting for him. Would you guys prefer Stratego or Guess Who? Both of them would require a change of view from the players and I don't know how to do that.
Oh god this is hilarious. My friend keeps using "reset" as "flip board", and we got into a game of bowling by setting up the player pieces at the end and tossing dice at them.

Here's some suggestions Reversi/Othello [t]http://gamescrafters.berkeley.edu/games/i/othello/othello_03.jpg[/t] Snakes and Ladders [t]http://www.witzigs.co.uk/user-data/pics/Snakes%20&%20Ladders%20set%2000473%20.jpg[/t] Ludo [t]http://pachisi.vegard2.no/ludo_full_big.jpg[/t] [editline]28th November 2012[/editline] Snakes and ladders might be a bit too boring though... maybe. Ludo is still a very fun game to play with friends, and you could design the board pretty freely as long as the number of steps still match up. Othello would be good for just short games with a friend, doesn't require extensive modeling, and could really utilize the flip mechanic well.
Hmm, I just made a ornstein/smough card...ive been thinking what if we made a darksouls board game.
yesyesyesyesyesyesyes also if it hasn't been said, the most op combo is thirsty sword, scroll of smiting, and ravenous staff
Hungry Hippos anyone? :v:
I'd play the shit out of Settlers on this. You're right though, a method to hide cards from other people would be a great addition.
Monopoly doesn't require hiding any cards, and only some basic modelling - should be simple enough to accomplish.
Adding different camera angles would be nice. Like 4 seats, and restrict it so only 1 player can use the camera angle.
