You can form a posse on Red Dead Redemption and basically do stuff in the open world that requires a team.

Well in the multiplayer you basically can do whatever you want in the singleplayer world with other people. For co-op you could take on gang hideouts, do challenges, and there's some deathmatch type modes too.
If you want teamwork, try competitive gaming. Competitive TF2 requires teamwork.

Play Men of War with friends. I've been playing it for over a year now with the same people. It's awesome!
In free roam you press either the select or back button and it will show you the players names. You can select their name to start a new posse or you can request to join theirs if they are already in one.

RDR with friends in freeroam is tons of fun.
