Nah, CoP doesn't have the same feel to it that SoC did. SoC was quite overpopulated and the safe pathways were fairly narrow, plus there was a sense of progresssion throughout the whole thing. CoP feels more like they worked too hard on freeplay and forgot to put in a meaningful storyline, the open environments and few anomalies don't really give the same sense of the environment trying to kill you either.
This. I think one of the biggest things that I was disappointed in was the lack of and marked-on-map anomalies. In SoC you could find them anywhere and it was awesome, but now you have to detect them in specific places, which makes it seem like more of a job (going around all the spots in a location/zone) rather than a fun thing to do.

Sure, they were immobile in Vanilla ShoC, but you might have missed one previously.
That why I think that after each emission there should be random anomalies scattered around the map, just to keep the player more aware and add some "ha, didn't expected that!" from SoC. [editline]06:03PM[/editline] I hate it when it happens in SoC. :argh:
It really is.

Some places are restricted thou.
you know I really need the link to that comic
As much as I hate to say it... this.
Should I use nutbag translation or latestgreatest translation for my new People Soup after I finish LURK?
both, search for the instructions in the last thread
Are there any burers in the Jupiter plant? I don't want to run into them unexpectedly...

I just replayed Stalker with LURK. This time anything failed. Fox and Wolf died, Nimble got killed by the military. Further on the guy at the beginning of the Garbage was been shot by the bandits. Bess died during the skirmish on the carpark. Seryi was instantly killed by bandits through a grenade, afterwards I tried to save Mole, when he left the building he was directly shot and dead with one shot by some fucking bandits who were involved in the fighting. Then afterwards I reached the Wild Territory and Kruglov fucking died, but that's nothing special. Shit this playthrough is a bad omen. :smith: They all died, let's drink to them once more, they were good stalkers.
You know, I wonder how the bodies are disposed in the games...
I just realized that that girl wears the bra over her clothes. :what:
You know, I wonder how the bodies are disposed in the games...
the death trucksksss :buddy:
the death trucksksss :buddy:
Nah man, those are special Monolith agents. unfortunatley, since that-one-special-machine is just a mind and no eyes or shit the you-know-who picks up dead bodies and send out long dead people to kill stalkers that are endangering the secrets of the Zone. also, I'd imagine that in STALKER universe, PETA would always go around Kiev and protest about stalkers killing hundreds of "endangered mutants" every day.
your poop :trashbear:
No seriously, I'm looking for a straight debate. I know they're idiots and all, so that's why I brought it up.

Fox is only alive because for some reason, Guide was there.
Seriy is always dead in LURK.
Guys, I've read all the books in the series from which Rapemachine has taken it's avatar and that picture. Do not read them. Dear god, bleach for my eyes and brain, where can I get it? Wait, fuck that, I'll use the spoon.
Seriy is always dead in LURK.
You're not skilled enough to save him :colbert: Although I must say, trying to headbutt bullets isn't the best way to stay alive in the Zone, Seriy.
Seriy is always dead in LURK.
My Seiry is still alive. :c00lbert:
On my first playthrough he was alive. But this time is funny because everything kind of fails. I just had to defend the border and the commander of the barrier simply charged the enemy and he was instantly shred into pieces. Then I shot all my ammo and yeah the other ones died. The Zone.

I've read the german stalker books, I don't know if the english one's are the same. Because the one I've read was from a german writer.
You know, I wonder how the bodies are disposed in the games...
They get buried by friends or eaten by mutants.
Alright, I was walking by the garbage, when I saw that the Bes's Rookie camp was very quiet. So quiet, that when I got to it, there was no one around, but dead bodies. I checked out all of them, but to my luck, only one of them was Loner, all else were bandits. The loner body was however, my friend. And he was in the campfire. And his body went slightly through it, so he kept moving around like something was moving it, constantly - back and forth, back and forth... Anyway, I continued to Agroprom, when to my surprise, I run into a shootout... right in front of bandit camp! What is even stranger, is that both sides (bandits and loners) were hostile to me. Oh well, VIOLENT BRAIN WAVES FOR C-CONSCIOUS, BLOOD FOR THE BLOODSUCKERS! Finally, I am walking to the Agroprom. And once again, I see a horrible picture - Bes, on the ground, bleeding, and calling for help, while bandits are coming in closer, to kill him. I run in, pick out Viper, and mow down all son's of bitches... or so I think. I give Bes a medkit, and he stands up. I notice that there is a bandit left, so I run at him... and accidentally outrun him and reveal my back. And right before that lethal bullet, Bes kills the bastard. It was a good fight, but I had to run. I thanked Bes, and ran off to Agroprom, where a bunch of loners were defending against Bloodsuckers and bandits. Also, female bloodfucker on woman, now. Somehow.
These are the stories and adventures which make the Stalker series so aweseome.
