They should make like some Metal Slug HD or some shit. Like, remake Metal Slug 1, or even better, Metal Slug 3 with like 3d graphics and HD effects and shit, while still keeping the gameplay exactly the same.
Real men play as Tarma or Fio. That is all.
I liked both Metal Slug 2 and 3, the songs in 3 were memorable though. However, I didn't like XX.

Just redraw the sprites in HD and call it a day. God damn that would look awesome.
HD metal slug would be kickass, keep it to sprites though and don't try to make it mature D:
