I can imagine Iago going "What the fuck! Where is the crack?!"
I predict a storm of YouTube videos of Iago the Parrot mixed with dialog from Grand Theft Auto V. Would be kind of funny, actually.
Lol he probably got fried.
If this is true I can't help but picture him as a mobster.
I'm sorry but if I have to listen to his voice during a 30 hour game I'll jump my character in front of traffic intentionally
i'm pretty sure it was some publicity stunt or some shit
Anyone else think of him saying "All you had to do was follow the damn train"
uhm it's obviously a joke, have you heard gilbert gottfried's voice [editline]21st March 2011[/editline] maybe he could voice the lead in SR3 though
I scrolled down after pressing the video and thought it was John Carmack. :v:
Why did I read this as "Actor Gilbert's Girlfriend" ? [editline]21st March 2011[/editline] "Who comes up with all the good Ideas? ME! Who does all the Work? ME!" God, I can't stop imagining that, him having a kind of Dickish badass personality.
It's not going to be serious
Even still. I can imagine him playing the role of the main dude in Saint's Row, but GTA? GTA's funny (pre-GTA IV) but it was never like "YOUR MAIN CHARACTER IS A DUCK! LOL!" with it's humor. It would still probably be stupid. And besides, you have no proof saying it's not going to be serious, nor do I have proof saying it's going to be. [editline]21st March 2011[/editline] Then again, I always thought Steve Buschemi was kind of silly in every role until I saw Fargo (only a few years ago). So maybe this'll be Gilbert Gottfried's Fargo, to me. [editline]21st March 2011[/editline] But then again again. His "normal" voice may not be his actual casual voice. [editline]21st March 2011[/editline]
Lol he probably got fried.
It's pronounced Got-Free'd
Haha oh my lord.
Holy shit I would love to play a character that speaks in all caps
HEY JAFAR WANT TO GO SEE SOME BEEEEEEEEEEEEG AMERICAN TEE-TEES? /c
HEY JAFAR WANT TO GO SEE SOME BEEEEEEEEEEEEG AMERICAN TEE-TEES? /c
His cousin is Indian?
:iiam:
I can imagine him being in the mafia or something.
If this is real then they have just started to make it. Yeah. I do not think so?
I think he would be better as a secondary character a'la Brucie. [editline]22nd March 2011[/editline]
If this is real then they have just started to make it. Yeah. I do not think so?
Not at all. Voice actors are usually hired later.
I can imagine him playing one of the two bad guy's assistants. They're both clumsy, they both sound funny, and one's got a heart of gold. Perfect!
Yeah, maybe he means main villain.
He could just be fucking with us. He IS a comedian.
If he were joking he would have said so instead of inexplicably removing it.
I don't think I want to hear Gilbert Gottfried's voice for the entirety of a game.
who is gilbert gottfried?
He should just voice the entire cast of the game I would love that so much
ALL YOU HAD TO DO, WAS FOLLOW THE GOD DAMN TRAIN CJ
Anyone else think of him saying "All you had to do was follow the damn train"

“Just found out I’m voicing the lead in Grand Theft Auto 5!” Seems unlikely that he would be stupid enough to post that to his twitter if it's supposed to be a secret.
Yea its most likely a marketing skeem
Man, seeing him as the lead in Grand Theft Auto 5 would be awesome :v: Still, it must have been a joke. I'm having a really hard time imagining him having a serious role.
Who said that GTA 5 will be serious? Thats right, nobody. It probably will though.
Yea its most likely a marketing skeem
Yeah, even for Hollywood lying isnt a smart marketing method. It's not to give him attention.
Hmm, if it hadn't immediately been taken down I'd say it was just him joking.
For me "immediately taken down" is a sign of joke - It's not like Rockstar is spying on all of their voice actors Twitters account.
