And there is a good reward for those who make self sufficient forts in that game: 1. Little work to be done in comparison to the beginning 2. Sit back, look at the ocean, and smoke some weed.

Yes. And bonus points if you decide to sit up in a tree and shoot at birds with a gun too. I do it for the hell of it. Same with monkeys.

The was also a survival game for PS2, my friend owns it, but forgot the name.. And he owns over 900 games.. There was different enviroments and shit.. And you could build stuf, i even think its physics based..

I got trapped at the bottom of my bunker once, so I grabbed an enemy digger and dug my way to the surface. Unfortunately one of my super loaded crab bombs burrowed into the ground next to my hole and exploded, sending crab straight through my brain.

There are two really cool MMO survival games. Wurm Online is a full 3d one and Haven and Hearth is a 2d isometric game. Haven and Hearth shows a little more polish but Wurm Online allows you to terraform the land, mine tunnels into mountains, build ships... basically gives you more options.
