Certainly more fun than AWPs, AWPs everywhere.

I can't enjoy Counter-Strike for 2 reasons. 1. Everyone who already plays CS is expert at it. There's either people who just got the game (me), or super cool headshot all the time Mr. Pro. It's extremely hard to learn how to get better when you die in 2 shots and have to sit for 5 minutes to get another try. 2. The game is highly dated by today's standards. I mean, there's 1 viewmodel, both teams use the same voices (and no facial animation), there's at most 2 official game modes, whatever. It's been using the same mechanics for over 5 years, and it's just very dull.

I also need to be able to see sweat drip down their faces, fear in their eyes, and photo's of their family in their wallets. And hear heavy breathing, and confidence in their voice despite their inner turmoils. Also, there's more than 2 gamemodes and types of maps. Last time I played I saw some zombie dm, zombie escape, deathmatch, gungames, surf maps, breakfloor, scoutzknifes, regular css, jail break and headshot only mode. That's 10 right there. There might be more too.
The vanilla gamemodes are fucking shitty, pointless and unbalanced. The community gamemodes are awesome. I personally like Jailbreak, Minigames and Zombie Escape.
I hate waiting for the next round
I just play gunfight because I suck at the official modes. :(
Personal preference
The community depends on what servers you play on, I've met a lot of people in CS:S and they're all really great people. It depends on the servers you play on really. Graphicswise, who gives a shit. I hate how modern gamers think graphics > gameplay or XBOX/PS3 > PC/wii really gets my piss to a boil, CS:S source engine is fine, I love it and it's very good for some old computers. Gameplaywise, it's really good, I love the gameplay. Also the mods expand it's life time. I don't see the problem.
Spamming the [del]M249[/del] Para in the narrow passageways of Office was always fun, until you get one-shotted by the [del]AK-47[/del] CV-47 because it is PERFECTLY accurate.

Because it's easy. Point and click. Only skill required - mouse movement. And it's fun too!
Yeah I just like it for its simplicity. I just love how you have so much you can do, so many maps and game modes and all, really beats COD in my opinion. And there is some great community, personally I have played on UKCS (64 player server) and they are pretty sound people.
ITT: People hate vanilla CS because they're bad at it.
