This map made me appreciate fences.
I set up the [sp]destroyed fence shack[/sp] as my house,it's rather small but very homely and it's kinda forcing me to build more,since I have to put mines and stuff in seperate,outside buildings.

This is one of the best,if not the best survival map I've played so far.
Also,are there any actual dungeons?Or is it just giant-ass caves with a ghast spawner or two?
This is great, never seen so many slimes in one place. I've only been playing it for a few minutes and I'm already enjoying the challenge.
Just got blown up by a Creeper. I saw the brute coming, but I got a lag spike just as he rushed at me. :tinfoil:

Also, if at all possible, I suggest re-working the ship at the start to look more like an actual ship that's crashed (into an iceburg or something, I don't know) than random floating planks. It'd be entertaining to have a challenge be "repair your ship and sail away".

You could try installing optimine, its a mod that improves minecraft's performance. I'm not sure where to find it though.

xD isn't against any rules,it's just that we tend to use proper grammar and we don't use l33tsp3ak etc here.
Also,MC used to lag for me too,I fixed it by deleting and redownloading my entire .minecraft folder(excluding my saves and texture packs).

it took me ages to find enough coal to make sufficient torches so that i could find the way back to my house at night

It's a survival map, I don't think there are any rules restricting you from doing whatever you want to do other than leaving the map area which is pretty much common sense.

Maybe you can, I wouldn't know, I am not even sure if there are any other islands, since this map was made with worldpainter the maker of the map may or may not had made the borders of the map either only water or a void, I haven't ventured away from the island so I may be wrong.
Besides, imported milk may taste bad compared to milk that is fresh from a cow that you have in your island. that is if you have one. if not, well, no tasty milk for you.
