I asked him and he knew nothing.

Or so he says. I recommend you interrogate him with a gun to his head.
Tried it, but ended up shooting after he tried to escape. Also, is my account safe? Or am I at risk of having my account stolen again?
Generate passwords of random numbers and letters.

There should be a program that changes your password every time after you log in and sends you and email about what it is.
Keep all the paranoids sane.
^^ No.
They changed everything except the password? Most unusual. If I was hacking an account, changing the password would be priority number one, not setting a new Warhammer avatar.
I was suprised I was able to log back in. I was pretty sure I was screwed.
Verify email, they'll never get you account.
Hell, I could give my STEAM pass to anyone, and I could just change it back in a snap and fuck them all over. Literally.
You can fuck them over the Internet literally? Woah. Kidding, thanks for the help.
What do you mean by overhauled?
Are you sure it got stolen in the first place?
Anyway, if you're absolutely certain that you haven't given any info away and that it's been stolen, it's likely that you have a keylogger. In which case, you should probably download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. You can get it from here.
Highly unlikely.. attempts through Steam are blocked (it'll give you a connection error if you try too many times) and Steam Community has a captcha. Possible, but really unlikely.
click this link for a better anti-malware program. I'm using this, and my pc has NEVER gotten any type of infection. It's free, which is better. BTW this whole paragraph thing is a link.
I'm now scared for my account.
I don't really like ad-aware so I'm just going to download a HIPS.
Get MalwareBytes. If you can't remove something that keep coming up again, google for a removal tool. Malware Bytes has gotten me out of numerous rough patches.
Check other accounts, if you have the same password for everything, they might of broken into a weaker account and then reused the password.
I have different passwords for everything.
I'm sure its been said- But make sure you verify your email address so that way you can get your account back if someone does manage to change you password (Which needs to be verified via email.)
i also recommend getting Spybot search and destroy
