I also played the original back in easter holiday, I gotta say, I was so fucking impressed when [sp]I killed Anna after she shot the guy in the plane and the game let me do it without any kind of failstate, and even recognized it later[/sp].

I've played the PC version with a pad, it's alright. And from what I've seen, the graphics on console aren't terrible either.
I've completed HR thrice on my PS3. It works just fine. The controls work and the graphics are a notch or two below PC, still good. Especially at TYM, the view is double rainbow rated.

I've been looking for a login screen replacement for windows 7 based on the Human Revolution login screen, and I've found many WIP projects, but none completed. Anyone know if any are around?
So I wanted to finish my playthrough but now my game crashes about 14 minutes in, i suppose it's because of the patch that came out last month or so.
My system hasn't changed, I reinstalled the game, rebooted, updated my drivers, nothing works.
I can't believe it's been almost a year since DE:HR got released, time flies man.
And it's pretty much been a year since it got leaked.
Watched that one video posted earlier in the thread of someone doing a bit of the 'All I Have is a Candybar' run and it made me want to do something similar to my Factory Zero run of Adam the Unruly Alcoholic, in which all I collected was candy, wine, beer, whiskey and vodka in addition to the usual restrictions of FZ.
Thinking of doing JC's Disappearing Backpack, aka. consumable items only, including candy, beer, grenades, multitools (because i'm hopeless at puzzles and logical thinking), one-shot pistols, etc.
Anything that won't disappear after use will be ignored or discarded, should be interesting. Not as spectacular and high-brow as Candybar, but it's more realistic for me to complete as a challenge.
Finally. After playing on/off since release and around 3.5 playthroughs. Platinum trophy achieved.

Sorry guys didn't read the whole thread but I have a problem. It crashes instantly when I launch it in Steam. My Steam directory isn't on the C:\ drive. Anyone know how I fix this?

Been happening to me to. I played HR on launch day a year ago for about a week with no problems. Now, my status will change to ingame for about 5 seconds before crashing entirely. The game doesn't even come up. I'm on a desktop but I really don't think it's your laptops fault.
Yeah it's incredibly frustrating that the guy on the Steam forums brushes it of as my computer inherently being the problem.

It happened to me yesterday. I just validated the games files and it turns out it didn't finish downloading all the way. After that it launched fine.

Seeing as there's an influx of people who are discovering Deus Ex for the first time with the sale, I suggest you all play [url=http://thenamelessmod.com/]The Nameless Mod[/url] when you complete the game. It's easily longer than the original game, and arguably better. Probably the best total conversion mod of all time for any game engine. (I would say "best mod of all time," but that might be Sven Coop. I don't count Garry's mod or Team Fortress or Counter Strike or games like that because those are ascended mods turned into actual games.)
how do i get the 10000 credits i bought? from that one addon
Have they fixed the stuttering issues yet? It's really weird playing on the lowest settings and still stuttering.
