So when you play the game do you cheat with your savefiles or make any of your decisions final? When I play, I find a way I want to complete the level and reload my save until I have accomplished what I wanted
I did that constantly. If I didn't pass an area unnoticed, reloaded a save and ran through it again, repeat process until I passed unnoticed. Couldn't miss out on the Ghost bonus.
Me and three of my other friends all have the same issue with the Deus Ex GOTY edition of the game. When we launch it, it says cannot find steam and then it brings up www.steampowered.com Since its not just me, it can't be my own fault. Anyone else had this problem, and knows of a fix?
i've played through the deus ex human revolution expansion-pack entitled the missing link. it was good. reminded me of how great of a game human revolution is. also, i liked this guy's design. [t]http://www.mobygames.com/images/shots/l/529292-deus-ex-human-revolution-the-missing-link-windows-screenshot.jpg[/t] [editline]25th June 2012[/editline] the moral dilemma wasn't too much of a dilemma though, [sp]as it's obvious that letting the prisoners die was needed to stop belltower from ruining more lives in the long-term.[/sp] ye that's a bummer for people doing non-lethal runs. i wish more cool lethal stuff could be performed non-lethally. like, stun-grenades for the typhoon would have been cool.
[sp]Still, you can save both and net plenty of points.[/sp]
[sp]Still, you can save both and net plenty of points.[/sp]
Hey, spekter, [sp]remember that group picture you were making a year ago?[/sp] :v: Those were the fun times. Deus Ex Multiplayer, lots of people.
Can you upgrade the pistol so that it can one shot (headshot) nearly anyone?
I'm pretty sure you can, but maybe the heavies can survive 2 shots to the head. The armor-piercing mod really makes the pistol very strong because it completely negates helmets.

I pretty much fully modded out my pistol my first play through. (Couldn't find silencer) But it pretty much carried me through heavy infested areas. That and the tranquilizer rifle of course.
You didn't find a silencer? A lot of merchants have it, the one in Hengsha brothel has it for sure. I also remember one is in a drawer [sp]in Picus[/sp].
Sarif what are you doing
Adam! I need to crash at your place for a few weeks. No hobo.
Hey, spekter, [sp]remember that group picture you were making a year ago?[/sp] :v: Those were the fun times. Deus Ex Multiplayer, lots of people.
But suddenly I, the whole college art course of much pressure.
I'm doing a guns-blazing kind of character now, it's really fun. All these weapon upgrades I missed in the first playthrough are really awesome, including the one upgrade for the SMG/Assault Rifle where it locks onto the target, and no matter how innaccurate the weapon is, the bullets always hit the same spot. Kinda like that one gun in The Fifth Element, except you still need to be facing the general direction of your target.
Anyone got tips to kill that tough robo bitch (2nd boss). It's a combination of running and not dying and somehow still damaging her...
I just finished The Missing Link. Incredible quality except for the glaring lack-of-an-ending. Is it seriously too much to see your choices produce actual consequences? What's the point of even [sp]choosing who gets gassed[/sp] if they're both functionally the same at the end? ugh I don't feel cheated though, seeing as it was £2. Beat on give me deus ex difficulty, stealth playthrough. Was easier than I expected. [editline]26th June 2012[/editline]
Have they fixed the stuttering issues yet? It's really weird playing on the lowest settings and still stuttering.
Does it give you weird flickering with the stuttering? A driver update fixed that for me

It's still not really supposed to be played separately. The consequences are a bit of a letdown but at least the boss fight was much much better than the ones in the actual game. The only thing I didn't like were those fucking loading rooms. Also, I forgot, but [sp]how do you save both?[/sp] [editline]27th June 2012[/editline]
tough robo bitch (2nd boss)
It's an african-russian you're talking about, watch your language young man.
Does it give you weird flickering with the stuttering? A driver update fixed that for me
I've done driver updates. There's no flickering, it's just the framerate will stutter if I turn or sprint. If I just walk and turn really slowly the framerate will be fine.
I've done driver updates. There's no flickering, it's just the framerate will stutter if I turn or sprint.
last thing I can think of would be to clear your game cache on steam. other than that I have no real clue, sorry
Clear? Don't you mean "verify integrity"? :v:
You didn't find a silencer? A lot of merchants have it, the one in Hengsha brothel has it for sure. I also remember one is in a drawer [sp]in Picus[/sp].
Yeah. I looked everywhere for merchants with it. It was the one thing I needed for the fully mod a weapon achievement.
Yeah. I looked everywhere for merchants with it. It was the one thing I needed for the fully mod a weapon achievement.
You can also get it from Seurat, a merchant under the MCB apartment's floor.
Clear? Don't you mean "verify integrity"? :v:
that is the thing that I meant, yes

EDIT: as far as I know, it seems to be a problem with DirectX 11. So maybe turning that off might fix it, if it's on and you don't want to go into registry files.

Oh, killing the soldiers in the prologue counts in the pacifist achievement... Well... guess I can start killing people now.
The bosses in this game makes me want to break my PC. It's so hard especially if you've been playing as a stealthy character with 0 health.
I wish they would release a DLC that completely reworked the boss fights so that they could be fought with any playstyle.
The bosses in this game makes me want to break my PC. It's so hard especially if you've been playing as a stealthy character with 0 health.
Which boss are you on? The first, second, or third? I was pretty much how you described, I normally tried to sneak around. Dedicated all my PPs into Hacking iirc.
I wish you could just use sticks and stones in bossfights like in the first game
