[sp]Wait, so then does that means everyone is transgenic with Adam's genes, or is it just JC and Paul ?[/sp]
It's implied that [sp]JC and Paul Denton are both based on Jensen's DNA[/sp], but that's it. Adam's [sp]very aug-friendly genes[/sp] are planned to be used by [sp]Megan Reed to make mechanical augs more accessible, but because of the gap between Human Revolution and the first Deus Ex, it's unclear whether she eventually used that compatibility gene or not, and if it was used for only mechanical augs or also for nano augs[/sp].
Just Paul, JC and the DX:IW nano-augmented folks.
No, [sp]since his genes do not reject mechanical augmentations, therefore allowing for no neuropozyne addiction, every person with an augmentation is transgenic with Adam's genes.[/sp]

what if orange soda has neuropozyne in it and gunther has to drink it every once in a while
Wait you can [sp]save both prisoners and the scientist[/sp] in the Missing Link?
Damn it I have been hating myself for [sp]choosing to save the scientist[/sp]
the game is almost year old, why you guys still using spoilers tag?
Just because it's not new doesn't mean some people have finished it yet, especially with the sale that happened.
For example I only finished deus ex 1 last year
Never got missing link; worth it??
Never got missing link; worth it??
Yes
It's about 4 hours long and has some interesting characters in it
I was always under the impression that [sp]No matter which ending you chose, Panchea would then collapse in on itself and kill everyone inside. Remember, what little info you find about the Hyron project tells you that it was responsible for maintaining the structure of the place, and you'd just killed the fuck out of it.[/sp]

I'm still in Detroit during the riots. :colbert:
Here's my progress so far:
[sp]Spared Zeke
Took out the first 2 bosses with the Stun Gun and 10mm Pistol
Paid Jaya's debt
Granted Radford's last wish
Took down Sandoval[/sp]
Right now, I'm inside SI building during the riots. I'm busy with Burnout Paradise.

[sp]there'd probably be an escape plan in case Hyron did die, given the stress they're constantly under it'd be stupid not to have backups and plans out the ass. plus Darrow probably wouldn't have wanted it fucking up and collapsing in on itself before he could go through with his plan, so he probably at least had an escape route.[/sp]

Holy shit you've played passively up to Sandoval.
And [sp]props for not killing the bitch and paying off her debt, I wasn't gonna waste the fucking time to run back to the hive and pay 5k, a death on her part is easier.[/sp]
Human Revolution was such a fun game, I completed it twice in a row I liked it that much.
[sp]The ending I chose was Sarif's Ending, partly because I liked the idea of AUGS FOR ERRONE but mostly because I wanted to spite the Illuminati. Felt like a bit of a dick after.[/sp]

You get a [sp]praxis kit for doing it though, so it's just like buying one from a LIMB clinic. Except you can feel even better about it.[/sp]
I'm pissed that I got the "neutral" ending text just because I punched a few hobos along the way. I was playing pacifist and was nice to everyone else the whole time. They deserved it!
I got the pacifist ending and I did punch quite a bunch of people. I think as long as you don't kill them it doesn't register it as a bad action.
The only guy I killed was by dumping an unconscious body from the roof of that hooker hotel in China. Now I have to restart the game all over again if I want to get that achievement

[sp]How can you really have a backup for a tri-core quantum crazycomputer. Besides, I'm pretty sure in the post-credits thing no matter which ending you chose Bob Page mentions searching through the wreckage. Taking out Sarif, Taggart, Darrow and Jenson also opens things up nicely for Page and Morgan to expand their power for Deus Ex.[/sp]

Did you not make save points? Just reload to them. And yeah, Pacifist is just kill no one except bosses.

I just paid the girl's debt, got my reward and then jumped behind the counter and knocked out the bartender and took my money back. The guards won't even attack you if you aren't seen doing it.

Yeah but that was on the first trip to Hengsha, I'm not even near the middle of the game.
Oh wow. I just finished the original game, all three endings, and I have to say I didn't play such an amazing game for a while.
It has a rich, believable universe, a great length, many interesting side stories and secondary plot, a lot of diversity in its gameplay, not to mention a pretty interesting scenario and an awesome soundtrack.
It also has a lot of replayability. In my next session I'll try to save Paul and Jock, and perhaps a no-kill playthrough.

Haha I just read in the credits that Gabe Newell was part of additional testing.
i dunno about this game. it certainly is a work of art, something of architectural beauty in nearly every way the game is composed.
the biggest gripe i have with it is its incredibly short length. and for that reason it doesn't feel deep enough.
of all three games in this series this one has to be the shortest.
what is it with games getting shorter as they get more modern?

It's definitely shorter than DX1, but I wouldn't call it incredibly short. It's a pretty good length for a game.
I guess game companies are afraid people will lose interest in the game if it's too long, which is one of the reasons I almost lost interest in the first.

I didn't think it was that short but they had to cut and re-do a lot of the game due to time constraints.
It felt really short for the second playthrough.

Yeah, I think they planned to have Montreal and Hengsha Upper City as complete locations but time was against them.
I spent 33 hours on my first playthrough. Im satisfied with the length of the game, I just wish the option to [sp]take the new biochip at L.I.M.B before the penultimate boss was taken out because that fight was such a bitch without augs.[/sp] I ended my first playthrough there because of it, and on my second I [sp]Didn't take the biochip and instead brought down a sentry gun, dropped it, and watched as the fight ended in less than 30 seconds.[/sp]

There are bunch of clues and emails which basically tell you there is something fishy about it.

no it's not. maybe, just maybe it's acceptable by today's standards, but today's standards are shit.
the game is 2-3 levels too short. how many levels do we have now (not counting the ones you spend 5 seconds in)?

since when an game durability is based in levels?
if thats the case then GTA IV is just one level and its super short then!!
