Didn't it get an award for best marketing campaign?

Not sure, do you remember who gave out that award?

wasn't that just a bunch of slo-mo stuff with some sad music?

Sheeple don't appreciate ~TRUE CULTURE~
So am i the only one who never [sp]thought that they actually killed Megan and her team?[/sp]
Would like to see more of Human Revolution. Adam Jensen was a pretty interesting character and the augmentations were cool.
Once you learn [sp]the bodies were burned so no one could identify them[/sp] I knew that was too fishy. The intro of the game kind of suggested [sp]they wanted at least Megan alive so I knew you would find her at some point.[/sp]

Nope after I did the mission when you come back to work was quite obvious.
Don't know why, but I can't seem to play Deus Ex any other way than being stealthy as shit and being the silent death!
Somehow it just comes natural in this game for some reason. I havent even touched the big weapons EVER. I mean the machine guns, heavy machine guns, rocket launchers, plasma rifles etc...
I always only use the upgraded standard pistol and the revolver if things get heated.

"You can't run, Denton. Even if you escape, your killswitch is counting down. You'll be dead in twenty-three hours. Another invitation to Dorsias down the drain."
I want more Deus Ex, dammit!

Human Revaluation I would assume?
I don't know how it will go. I got all four endings I hope they stick with the augmentation idea.
But Deus Ex Human Revelation would be a nice one hit wonder.
I'm hoping Eidos pick up a few more classics like the Legacy Of Kain. Those games were great.
I think an expansion where you play as another character with a different set of augmentations would be nice, though it could be tricky to come up with enough new and original augmentations.
Is there any texture mods out? I'm finding the detail in the game is too smooth for my tastes
For DXHR or just DX1?
DX1 you can get the DX10 renderer and some big world re-texture mod that really helps. DXHR there are no mods at all besides some random trainer.

It's safe to assume they will try and take on Legacy Of Kain again but whether or not they can produce the same class of story telling and line writing I don't know.
The canon ending to DXHR is that he [sp]destroys Panchea[/sp] but how they can justify him living beyond that I don't know. The DLC gave the impression something was supposed to happen after the end.

How do you know it's canon? Did the developers actually point that out?

How else would all things fall into place for DX1 to occur? It allows for the right amount of balance. If they continue on after DXHR they could still say Adam [sp]was brought out of the wreckage by Juggernaut somehow.[/sp] If they even wanted to continue with him.

Eidos said that they wanted all the endings to look plausible (except for [sp]telling the truth, maybe, since that just stopped augmentations[/sp]). Obviously none of the characters are mentioned in DX1 so that hides the truth. Maybe they [sp]died or nobody just cared about Panchea incident after some time[/sp].

It's been a while since I've played HR though.

It's a global catastrophe on multiple fronts, 9/11 tier in terms of how much it would echo forward. Allowing augs in full would make everyone into evolved humans. Destroying the place puts the field in balance and allows for DX1 events to occur.
Can someone help me with my problem?
The last few posts (mine) above this one

[sp]Panchea destruction is the only one that is actually a plausible ending for continuity reasons.
Destroying it allows the development of augmentations to continue, with the average population not seeing what is really happening. Meaning that there will still be people who do not augment themselves, and only the rich will be able to afford them. Which is how Deus Ex shows this. The background forces that be are still unknown by the public, and can still influence everything. Panchea is made out to be an accident and life goes on.
Telling Darrows' truth sends the world into a technological tailspin. Augmentation stops, everybody starts to remove themselves from technology as much as possible to get out of the influences of the Illuminati. Deus Ex does not show this path.
Telling Sarifs truth is a plausible one. But still flawed. There would be a greater number of people with augmentations if this was canon, as people would start to think that the anti-augmentation groups are just holding back progress, and would start treating them like terrorists and nothing more. Sort of happens in Deus Ex with the NSF I guess. But there aren't many augmentations in the general population.
And telling the last guy's truth would cause people to reject augmentation technology, but not revert to older technologies entirely. Augmented people would be treated like dirt, moreso than they were by normal people in HR. Which doesn't happen.[/sp]
Wall 'o' ending spoiling goodness.
Actually that's not necessarily true.
[sp]Just because Eliza tells you what will PROBABLY happen if you send a certain message doesn't mean that is PRECISELY what will happen. It's quite possible that even sending Darrow's truth will result in only a minor setback for augmentation technology. Human opinions are unpredictable things.
Also, Taggart's truth doesn't mean that people hate augmentation. It just means that research would be more restricted, which is actually very plausible as it means that you still have augmentation, but on a smaller scale, similar to that of the original game.
You're also failing to consider the influence of Bob Page, who we see at the very end discussing the future of augmentation technology. He might have a larger influence than even Eliza. He's shown in DX1 to have strong ties with powerful people, which could give him the advantage, especially if you destroy panchaea, which actually does him a favour, removing competition and tying off some loose ends.[/sp]

That's actually a good point. [sp]I forgot about the Page scene at the end, just how much influence he has anyway.[/sp]

Yeah, that's what I mean, [sp]Sarif's ending is also possible[/sp]. Though there still is a huge gap between HR and DX1 so maybe Eidos'll throw another game there.
If you discount the idea of Adam Jensen returning as a protagonist there's extreme potential for a sequel.
[sp]It could be set in the chaos post-HR just after all the augs started killing everyone, the world in disarray, people paranoid of technology in general, everything grinds to a halt and no-one is exactly sure what is going to happen next[/sp]
As much as I like Adam, I wouldn't mind a new protagonist. Of course only if he's likable and badass.
Anyone think they could use the guy from Icarus Effect?
