Game Over! Final Impressions... (XBOX 360 VERSION, THIS DOES NOT REFLECT MY OPINIONS OF THE PC VERSION, EXPERIENCE MAY DIFFER)
Graphics - 9 (Stunning visuals, definitely pushes the xbox 360 to it's limits, unfortunately is also crippled by its own hardware. You will see LODs pop in and textures load rather slowly, most of the time you can't notice it though, and there is some FPS drops during heavy scenes with explosions going off which is almost all the time so it can get annoying, but it doesn't matter because its still beautiful.)
Sound - 8 (Crisp sound effects, great ambiance and overall decent weapon sounds, a few sound glitches here and there but overall an experience that is immersive.)
Gameplay - 8 (Pretty basic gunplay, controls can get a tad confusing at times, vehicle ones are pretty bad. The suit functions have been simplified(dumbed?) in Crysis 2 but the core functions are still there, armor and stealth. Power is activated mostly on it's own when you melee or jump same with speed. But the game definitely does not get boring, you will be constantly on your toes and your skills will be tested with enemies zipping around the map and attacking you when you least expect it. Human AI still has some bugs to work out but it's improved from the other Crysis games. The aliens seem to have the best AI by far as they will be flanking you from everywhere at once. Some pretty frustrating boss battles but makes the victory satisfying. Unlike the first Crysis games this one is not completely open and is pretty linear but it does offer various routes of access. Did you die trying to take TAC Route A? Try B next time, B not so good? Try C or D. In visor view you will get TAC markers that let you know the tactical routes and what you can do A: Use B: Stealth C: Flank D: Grab Ledge E: Turret etc.. According to my gameplay stats, I beat it in 6 hours and 30 minutes, not bad, I played on Veteran, the 2nd highest difficulty, theres 4.)
Story - 9 (Did Crysis have a story? I don't know but Crysis 2 definitely did and it explained everything. The voice acting was well done, characters moved fluidly during cutscenes. Lots of amazing scripted sequences that leave you stunned. I loved every bit of the story, my only nitpick is lack of development on the supporting characters but the core of the game is still there and it didn't disappointed.)
Overall - 8.5

can't wait
hmm.. $60 for a 6 hour game... I enjoyed the multiplayer demo, but unless they improved alot on it I don't think it'll keep me entertained..

Play on super soldier and you would probably squeeze another 1 or 2, really depends on how you play it. The game does have some freedom to it.
about the voice acting... yeah. I heard the same black guy talking the entire game whenever I was fighting the cell. He sounded exactly like the sergeant from BC2.
It's a disappointing length, but it's normal for any game nowadays, especially an FPS. The multiplayer is fun but not super original, I still enjoy it though. I was going to skip this from AC: Brotherhood but I've decided on both.

It is original imo.
And it's so freakin' beautiful too.
I only bought the original Crysis for the Mechwarrior: Living Legends mod.

Oh don't get me wrong it's sexy, it's just a lot like CoD but with suit powers, which has changed things quite a bit, and I do like that you have to gain dog tags or it doesn't count towards kill streaks, keeps people from camping corners for Seph Gunships.

Didn't you buy Homefront?
Didn't you buy Homefront?
I knew the singleplayer was going to be short; still took me 6 hours to complete. And I honestly mainly bought it for the multiplayer, which was well worth it in my opinion.
rough estimation on length?
Took me around 6-7 hours if I remember properly. It was a really fun campaign.

Well you paid $50.00 for Homefront and I can guaruntee the multiplayer here is going to be a lot more interesting, as well as the story.

Also good god, release on Monday :sax:

Judging by your 20+ garbage posts on the Homefront discussion, I'd say you're a bit biased on that subject
how? unless you died a shitload it was pretty easy.

I didn't find it hard at all; I just like to experiment with anything I can find and pull off epic moves with the suit. I spent ages on the first level of Crysis, too.
Well, the second half of the original Crysis campaign was pretty bad. First half was incredibly fun.
Warhead was a lot better. You got to fight Koreans and aliens at the same time! :haw:
This.
The underground aliens part was the worst. Annoying as hell to kill the bastards and drifting around inside their... Cave thing...

I loled.

I think it was just a sarcasm.

I'm surprised some people took my post seriously:

I wish I could buy this game from a European online store or something, because even after the Euro conversion you guys still pay a lot less than us.
