so when is this being released in the us, us uk fuckers don't get it until friday
tuesday jesus christ automerge
whaaaat Crysis 1 had a fucking amazing intro.
then I think you understand how good I think this intro is then
Depends on your definition of good. The storyline isn't the most amazing thing ever, but the graphics are absolutely amazing even to this day, and still stand untouched IMO, and the gameplay is pretty average shooter fair, but I loved the ability to modify guns on the fly, and the suit abilities are super fun to play with on the island. The alien bits were cool to me, but they did feel kind of bad at first, but I like alien stuff so idk, maybe I'm in the minority.
Crysis gave me a lot of entertainment out of just throwing barrels at shacks and watching them fall apart. I hadn't had that much fun doing stupid stuff in a physics engine since I first played Half Life 2.
look HONEY i see where you're coming from but you missed out on a classic game that I played with an 8 year old pc and adored
even going back 8 years from today you'd be hard pressed to find a pc that could run it let alone 2007
Gamestop doesn't stock PC anything anymore, they're so shitty. They asked me if my PC could run Crysis 2 and referred me to the Xbox 360 and PS3 version while preordering. I was like, are you serious?
You can't be serious. I guess I'll call them ahead of time.
So does anybody know if we're gonna get a pre-load period on Steam? At this point, it's not seeming very likely.
even going back 8 years from today you'd be hard pressed to find a pc that could run it let alone 2007
I meant 8 years from today, I was running an old single core athlon 64 and a crappy radeon and I still managed to enjoy it

I'm not in a mood of reading 20 or more pages, so I'll just ask, we will be able to play in the PS3 multiplayer with split screen?
Is it possible to play through the first game using nothing but the silenced pistol, stealth killing everybody and trying never to get into an actual fair firefight?
Is it possible to play through the first game using nothing but the silenced pistol, stealth killing everybody and trying never to get into an actual fair firefight?
There's a Tank mission and a VTOL mission. So no.
I'm not in a mood of reading 20 or more pages, so I'll just ask, we will be able to play in the PS3 multiplayer with split screen?
no split-screen on the PS3, and same goes for the 360 too
There's a Tank mission and a VTOL mission. So no.
But apart from that?
But apart from that?
You can't get through the zero-gravity mission by using stealth, and I'm pretty you can't use stealth for the subsequent levels too
1 more day people. Semper Fi or die :v: Is it true though that the Hans Zimmer composing the music thing was just a bait and switch though? :smithicide:
You can't get through the zero-gravity mission by using stealth, and I'm pretty you can't use stealth for the subsequent levels too
Okay, when doing missions where the only enemies are humans. Would THAT be possible?
Yes it's entirely possible with just you against the KPA. There weren't any special stealth kills though. The only thing you could do is come out of cloak and then while in strength mode, smack a guy in the back of the head with your gun/fist.
I can think of a few parts in the first half of the game where you can't use stealth but for the majority you can sneak
What I liked from Crysis: non-linear gameplay oh god the graphics interesting level design destructibility of the environment What I didn't like: faceless, bland protagonist vehicle sections (not just the existence thereof, I just don't think they were designed well) herpaderpa AI oh god the system requirements Will I like Crysis 2? More or Less than the first? [editline]21st March 2011[/editline]
I'm not in a mood of reading 20 or more pages, so I'll just ask, we will be able to play in the PS3 multiplayer with split screen?
I too am interested in this

More or Less than the first?
- Crysis 2 is much more linear - A lot less destructable environments - I'd say level design is still excellent - In my opinion AI has improved - The plot is pretty good - System requirements are basically the same - Graphics are still nice - There's only a couple of vehicle sections, and handling seemed to have improved
I just came across this when I put my mouse over Crysis Warhead. I guess the Ceph freeze humans so that they can proceed to brain suck them. I found this pretty funny since the wording looks like something someone in third grade would write.

The others are just on rail turret sections.
There's one in Road Rage, and on the second to last level, I think.
Just preordered on Amazon.com because: 1. If you have Prime, they garuntee you get it release day with free shipping (which everyone who has a student email should have since they give you prime for free for that). 2. You get a $10 amazon credit sent to your email within two days of your order being shipped with Crysis 2, which effectively makes the game $47 instead of Amazon's $57 (assuming you use Amazon, which I generally do). 3. I have a $50 gift cert from them. Good show
You can't be serious. I guess I'll call them ahead of time.
Idk about yours, ours are terribly shitty. I remember the last game I preordered from them was K&L 2 (bad choice) on PC and it literally took them 3 days PAST release to get it to me. I almost didn't even want to take it to spite them, but I wanted to play the storyline. Sadly the MP was dead within a week and the game dropped to nothing. But I've left that behind me, it can't be THAT bad. I don't know why the commercial gets so much flak, I mean I guess people don't like that music, but I don't think it's that bad, and the action itself is really cool.
How well does the real time suit and weapon modifier thing work? Like the "On the go" modification menus. Does it work good for 360 and does any one have videos for this?
Judging by your 20+ garbage posts on the Homefront discussion, I'd say you're a bit biased on that subject
You going to cry because I dont like your game? Also, not that good god, I just realized it's released on Tuesday, not Monday :eng99:
