If I'm not mistaken the graphic options are located there right?
Let's Playing this when it arrives Friday :buddy:
Looks like 24march here in sweden thought it was 25march.
Same in Denmark. They've changed it I think. It used to be 25th
In Poland too.
I went to capture the scene after Visor tutorial in all 3 modes.
Obvious differences are LOD, shadows, and tree leaves.

Yay, finally I don't have to play on UltraSuperDuperMegaTeraHigh for the game to actually look good.
Why would they set the release date back 2 days? Does this mean for everyone it's like that?

I was so happy when the demo was out and "hardcore" ran so well, unfortunately it was because the only setting was advanced

it's the 22nd here
wait so there are only three settings, high, veryhigh, and extreme?
why not just make them low, medium, and high
[editline]we[/editline]
I bet they did this so when people talk about Crysis 2 they'll be like
"so, what settings are you playing on?"
"umm, high"

Gamer, Advanced, and Hardcore were much better names. Having 'High' as the lowest option just sounds ridiculous.
Launch Trailer!

It uses the same dumb rap song from the TV spot trailer unfortunately.

Late, was on here a few days ago/pages ago.
You must be confusing it with the TV spot trailer I mentioned. The Launch Trailer was posted late last night on the Crysis Channel on YouTube.

This is much better
It's like it was intentional

Weird, both shit trailers.

Good. Going to pick up my retail copy after class, can't wait to play it.
Darn. Didn't find out until yesterday that Crysis 2 and AC: Brotherhood release on the same day..
I gotta wait 8 more days to pick this up.

Yeah in North America, it's stupid, but I've been playing since Friday.
So I got the game... seems gg.
Everything except the nanosuit abilities. The stealth and superjump are pretty cool, armor is lame. I dunno, it just felt really boring. It may have been because of the lack of interesting weapons, but then again, the full release doesn't seem to have very many either. Also, way too easy. Learn when to use armor and use the SCAR. Easy top of the scoreboard, atleast in the demo. I have a feeling the endgame is going to revolve around people just walking around like CoD and using armor in gunfights and hoping their random SCAR spray gets a headshot. Not really interesting enough to me.
Singleplayer looks like a blast but I refuse to pay $60 for a singleplayer only experience unless it is godlike.
Personally I find it a lot of fun. However knowing that you played a lot of CoD I can see why you'd not be interested in this - it does feel a lot like CoD but with key differences to me that personally make it much more enjoyable (I don't play CoD because I don't find it interesting).
First of all, the motif and setting of Crysis fit the CoD inspired gameplay style much better IMO than it does with CoD's motif. I always thought CoD's "modern day/historic super soldier in absurd circumstances" motif was completely silly. It's gameplay and over-the-top rail shooter style just don't fit with the "realistic" settings and motifs at all. Crysis on the other hand, I feel logically fits with the style of gameplay CoD is known for, and enhances it by going a step furter with the nanosuit and having it's own spin on it.
Killstreaks are also a lot more tactical and sensible. It's not some OP thing you get because your game has terrible balance making it easily possible to just rambo/snipe your way to some absurd OP perk. You have to actually pick up dogtags, with the perks being modest boosts at best. This makes sniping much more tactical and fun, as you actually have to move around the map to unlock all the bonuses.
I also think the full multiplayer will have a more robust game mode selection to choose from. I think I saw one map video that was rather large and had these posts going through the whole level - maybe a capture point style map ala battlefield?
The leveling up your indiviudal suit abilities is also a nice touch. If you use stealth a lot, you'll eventually get your cloak to no longer cast a shadow, etc. Which are all benefits that change how you can play with the game, but not necessarily still completely own at everything.
Also it has the added benefit of having a strong modding community, once they release the editor and make map support available (which they would be stupid to not eventually do seeing as the big selling point in wars was this map downloader feature).
I personally wouldn't want to get Crysis 2 myself I had spent countless hours in a CoD style game already unless I was a huge fan and that is all I played. Seeing as I haven't, Crysis 2 personally feels like it's right up my ally.

Argh I keep hearing trucks outside and thinking it's the UPS man :(
And surprisingly, even though I don't like rap music I can totally dig and tolerate the trailer's music :v:
I checked some polish online game stores and it turns out this game is already available. If it's true, I'll get my copy tomorrow. Of course I doubt it.
IT'S DOWNLOADING FINALLY!
Oh i'm so fucking excited.
Just got done playing some of the first Crysis. Everything was at max with 16x AA and it never went below 30 FPS. It was very fun. :v:
For whatever reason my preorder is still pending on the EAstore. Come on man.
Does the Demo end?
[editline]22nd March 2011[/editline]
I don't care about the Campaign, I just want multiplayer.
