They are still the same god damn aliens... With god damn suits... Seriously.

But the player is the one with the cloaking device :tinfoil:

"GOR BLIMEY THEY'VE CHIMNEY SWEPT OUR GEE PEE ESSES GUV YOU'D BETTAH GO DESTROY THE JAMMAH IN TIME FOR TEA AND SCONES GOOOOAOR"

Can you shutup? It's not funny anymore.
they aren't the same aliens
crysis 1's aliens were destroyed, these are new aliens that were underground the entire time, we don't know how they connect yet
Actually there's no confirmation if the battle at Lingshan was eventually won. Nukes didn't do shit against them, just gave them more energy and awakened more troops. Did you see the sky during the end of the carrier mission? It was fucking swarming with the scouts.

They developed differently though. One developed under the earth while the other on a different planet(?)

I'm hurt by it. That's why I have to make fun of it.

my point being regardless of what happened, crytek can't stretch the story out that fucking far to say that those incredibly huge flying octopus type things turned into this subterrainian bio-engineered orange blobs
regardless of whether or not the other aliens were destroyed, these aliens are completly different. perhaps being called the same thing, but it could be a species type deal. like, compare the ceph with a dog. the floating ceph could be a german shepard, while the underground ceph could be like a beagle.

I'm British and think Psycho is hilarious. If he's in Crysis 2 (Is he?), he should definitely be kept the same.

Which part of britain are you from (basically north or south and then after that east or west and then after that where exactly)
Which part of britain are you from (basically north or south and then after that east or west and then after that where exactly)
South East, near London.
EDIT:
Looking at your FB, pretty close to me.

I'm watching you with my considerably less cockney eyes. All the way from Bournemouth.
I know a family of which 70% of the males have enlisted and holy shit they try to develop cockney accents deliberately almost as if they have to be like that so I guess that's why I don't like that 'goaaar' voice.
They don't explain why the aliens suddenly look so different, I suppose they just adapted to fight better here on the surface, as they're obviously ocean creatures so their old warmachines were made to work like they were swimming or something.
Im just going to say they pulled the "They always looked like that, forget what they looked like in Crysis 1" retcon.
Another trailer - Be Invisible.

Crysis 1's Ceph were developed for cold, incredibly cold temperatures and zero gravity. Crysis 2's Ceph were developed for water, I think it was said they came out of the ocean.

Actually zero grav is not that different from ocean, you can move on six axises etc.

They didn't, since C2 has flashbacks to little Crysis 1 bits and the Ceph are shown there like they were in Crysis 1.
Wait, there are scenes in there where you don't uncloak when shooting, that is impossible.
You don't use all your energy if your gun is silenced when shooting. A silenced sniper rifle can take two or three shots before you run out of energy. Less, if you stabilize it using suit energy.
Would be good if there was a bit more backstory to crysis, that would be fun to read
There's a little, but mostly it's just hinted at in the multiplayer. Something about McTiller Martins research firm or something.

Really digging that "New York, New York" remix in that trailer. Really makes it creepier, in a good way.
Ah, I didn't notice this. What are the downsides of silencers again? Decreased range or damage or both?
In 1, 'twas damage.
[editline]26th February 2011[/editline]
didn't notice anything hapenin to the range though...

Range is the same, but according to the tips they show in the loading screen, damage decreases faster with range.
So unless you need to stay unnoticed, don't put it on your snipers.

I like to think of them like the Combine from Half-Life 2. They're using human-like techology and human-like tactics because such things have been designed by humans to kill humans.
Hey guys, has it been confirmed that they'll charge for the PC demo?
That seems like a really really really really really really really really really really really really bad idea, especially in light of the leak.

Since when did a demo ever cost money? That is incredibly stupid if that were to happen for any game and it would just promote pirating.
