Wow, Crysis 2's campaign is amazing. And it seems to be pretty long (about two hours in and nowhere near the end, unlike in Crysis 1 where I could beat the campaign around 3-4 hours).
really? the first time I played through Crysis 1 it took me a good ~10 hours
are you talking about Warhead
My ass you could beat it in 3-4 hours. I couldn't even manage that in my cheating playthrough. Maybe 4-6 hours sure.
ever seen the crysis speedrun that lasts half an hour?
one of the best things i've seen in my life

Running from the beginning of a level to the end without doing any objectives != playing the game.

How many hours you took to beat Crysis can be argued, but his ideal ratio is correct. I've been going at this game for a couple hours and still haven't seen any signs of an ending coming up yet.
Also, anyone who says the suit was dumbed down did not spend enough time goofing off with it as I have. Anything you could have done in Crysis, you can do on this one, and then some. Power mode still increases aiming accuracy, which is something I only fully realized when I was futzing around with the heavy machine gun.

Where are you up to?

Just to let you know though, at least for me, this game was shorter than the original Crysis
How come characters say "man" in like every subtitle, yet I don't hear it in the audio?
So how hard is the hardest difficulty in this compared to Crysis?
[editline]22nd March 2011[/editline]
Cause I don't want to do it if it is retard die in two hits mode.
It's die in two hits mode, and the enemy has extremely good vision range. They also can notice your presence up close when cloaked. The only thing making it balanced is the fact they don't have perfect accuracy, your skill, and your suit modes.
Basically it's delta mode all over again, without that whole "Stealth mode makes me completely undetectable even up close"
On the upside armor mode actually works on the hardest diffculity compaired to Crysis 1's where it was virtually not there. It'll still absorb a good bit of fire before running out, so it's more important than ever to use armor mode. It's pretty awesome too because getting hit in armor mode gives you these bullet chink sound effects.
Where are you up to?

Just past the part where you had to [sp]reboot the missile silos.[/sp]
Just to let you know though, at least for me, this game was shorter than the original Crysis
You must have spent a bunch of time smashing houses and shooting over trees then. Which is completely understandable as I did that a bunch.

If he's like me, he's probably on the level that's just after the one where you finally meet Gould.
everything i put into the autoexec shows up as an "unknown command" in the console when i start the game up.
Is the limited edition stuff restricted to just MyCrysis accounts or can I use my GameSpy account instead?
Hey guys just a heads up, if you enter any characters of the serial key wrong, it does not inform you. You will get the serial key already in use error. Also make sure you include dashes. For example if you enter abbc when the actual first section of the code is abcd, it will NOT inform you of this mistake, it would accept the key anyway even though it its wrong. So just add dashes and double check you codes.
I figured out how to kill those buff alien guys with chainguns
you just run really close to them and melee them to death
the mech ai is like "wtf" and stares at you until you die.
also recommended to be in armor mode just incase the ai snaps out of it's confusion and hits you.
but i think crysis 2 realized this and disabled my melee button for some reason :saddowns:
I just bought this game forgetting that it has to DL.
800kb/s and 5% after 30 mins.

I actually see this every time Gould talks.
HEY MAN TAKE THAT SAMPLE TO ME MAN.

I haven't played the game yet so I read that in Tommy Chong's voice.
No offense, but you're acting pretty much like a dumbass.
They are already releasing a full stand alone SDK for CE3 in the summer, and are known to always release modding tools with their games. Infinity Ward/Acitivision however, have never EVER released modding tools for their games. And Crysis War's editor didn't come out with it on release day either. Do you honestly believe they will never release an editor with Crysis 2?
And funny you mention DX10 making it less technologically advanced. Guess what - DX10 in Crysis 1 did absolutely nothing. Only thing it did was make your framerate worse, show a little "DX10" on the devmode info, and made it so per-object motion blur was less buggy looking. Every single DX10 visual option in Crysis 1 was able to be forced to run in DX9, at a better FPS too. DX10 in Crysis 1 was nothing more than a marketing gimmick, which is why they removed it's limitations from Warhead. Sure you could still force warhead to run DX10 but like in Crysis 1, it didn't really do anything.
DX10 actually gives me a better fps, but okay.
Crysis on delta is easy as shit just cloak cloak cloak.
yeah but cloaking is for pussies
This game is awesome, I got it about 3 hours ago and have been playing nonstop. I like using the Scarab silenced with laser sight and popping in and out of cloak to get headshots.

Oo even in multiplayer?
I was just playing multiplayer. Inconceivable amounts of rage.
Oo even in multiplayer?
Unfortunately not.
Well you know what I said before?
Crysis 2 doesn't have advanced settings for graphics. What the fuck Crytek.
I can now say, What the fuck Crytek. If I didn't play Crysis 1, i'd view Crysis 2 as a console port to PC. Actually, I think it is a console port. No advanced settings, press start to continue, COD multiplayer, Linear-ated Campaign. The graphics haven't taken a huge leap. The game looks barely better on a PC compared to a 360. Even though PCs are 10x stronger than a console, the improvement I see is 1.05x from a console.

I'm disappointed Crytek, the singleplayer campaign was good, but the game has definitely suffered from consolelitis. A sad fall for a once proud PC developer.

you can't really call it a console port when it was developed on the PC first
I don't blame them for making Cry2 more linear. It's hard to give much freedom of action in an environment as dense/clustered/concentrated as a city, but damned if they didn't try (particularly every place where the nanosuit gives you tactical suggestions).

You think that 800kb/s is bad? I'm getting 1.5kb/s here. Should be done by Christmas.

Man, I have to get Crysis 2. At least I know two of my friends are actually getting it.

It'd probably have a lot more freedom in a city if most of the buildings were hollow and enterable.
