Sprint mode in the orignal gave you 5 seconds of high speed movement. Energy refills so quickly in this one it doesn't make sense to complain about that, a gameplay tweak to make things fair? How fucking dare they?! The original 4 modes or armor, strength, speed, and stealth weren't that great. Power is now strength and speed, and a better version of speed at the very least. Stealth is more useful now, and armor is pretty much the same.
How is power strength and speed? Speed is totally fucking gone. And stealth seems to stop working if your enemy is within 30 feet of you. Armor went from being a constant to being a mode that fucks up your vision and takes away more energy. It's awful.
Apparently holding down shift while aiming down the sights activates recoil reduction just like in Crysis 1.

Stealth is pointless with that letting you see people across the map.
Does it come with Sandbox3?

I've been 5 feet in front of a guy and had no issues with him seeing me on the 3rd hardest difficulty. So, good job on that one.... And I like how armor does that to your vision, I like that effect personally. It wasn't that great as a constant in the first one, and I guess all the various upgrades that go into the suit were literally ripped out of crysis 1 verbatim, yeah?
Does it come with Sandbox3?
It's been said a thousand times already that it will be released this summer. Fucking hell.
Does it come with Sandbox3?
No Sandbox3 No DX11 Locked Console Final Destination [sp]Don't buy it.[/sp]
Does it come with Sandbox3?
No Crytek said its coming later just like Dx11. Although they said Crysis would get an update to above Very High shortly after release and that never happened. Dont hold them to their word they dont tend to keep it.

Moving at a jogging pace is sprinting now?
Also nanovision. "fuck you lemme stealth around without looking at em" I really don't get your point [editline]23rd March 2011[/editline]
How does sprint fall under power? Okay [editline]23rd March 2011[/editline]
No Sandbox3 No DX11 Locked Console Final Destination
Console works so I don't get that... DX11 is coming Sandbox is coming
So they give you something to help you plan ahead and look forward, but what do you say to that? "fuck you lemme stealth around without looking at em" I really don't get your point
Stealth should be stealth whether you have nanovision or not. Or at the very least make people only show up who are within a certain range, not across the map.
Anyways, I'm going to go play the game I bought, and do the key thing that games are supposed to do, entertain myself. Rather than bitch about it.
You're being elitist. "Oh I am too great to share a game with these peasant console players."
More like: "Oh, I'm just gonna ignore PC games getting washed out and simplified for multiplatform development." And since when was elitism evil or an argument?
Console works so I don't get that...
"It's coming" means dog shit. Only 47 console commands work in the retail build.
Stealth should be stealth whether you have nanovision or not.
And you can't do a 'normal' jump to save suit energy.
you can do a normal jump, just tap the spacebar. [editline]23rd March 2011[/editline]
Incompetence.
Hes a community manager, not an employee of crytek Or at least if he is, he is not someone who works on the game.
For the few that are bitching about lean, I'll be honest, I forgot I could even do it in Crysis, never used it.
If you're talking about nano vision revealing stealth, then yeah, I agree in that case, it should be a bit more range limited
I find the best tradeoff of the function is that its BLURRY AS SHIT. If you can see someone cloaking from across the map, good luck actually shooting it and not some splotch.
Guess I can't play until Crytek gets off their ass and fucking fixes their game. Really disappointed that I can't even finish my game that I started last night.
For the few that are bitching about lean, I'll be honest, I forgot I could even do it in Crysis, never used it.
I never cared about lean, never used it in any games. I did however use prone quite a bit in Crysis and Crysis Wars MP. The removal of vehicles and of prone have really taken away from the Crysis experience. The large open worlds will probably come back in custom levels but that doesn't change much when the MP is reliant on close combat.
Well I just beat it and I loved it. Unfortunately, Dragon Age and Mass Effect got me used to making choices so I felt like a tool the whole time. Except Alcatraz is a soldier so I guess that's the point.
Aw, they really did remove the disco elevator. The button is still there, you can press it, but it doesn't do anything...
They probably removed it due to the song used :v:
Anyways, I'm going to go play the game I bought, and do the key thing that games are supposed to do, entertain myself. Rather than bitch about it.
Most of the bitching is coming from people who wanted to see a much better release, particularly PC gamers. No one is saying you can't have fun with it or that it is entirely not entertaining, just voicing their disappointment, and making damn good points by doing so.
Saying who cares obviously shows you couldn't think of a good argument. I care about prone and lean. How about you put some effort into your posts.
'cept the game has lean (not prone). It's a dynamic lean that activacted when aim down ironsights near the edges of objects. Works on the verticle axis too.
It's like a straight to DVD movie sequel release.
I thought you could lean any way , i thought you went up to an object and hit an action button or something and you went into lean mode ? EDIT: darn beaten bye Korjax ;)
Reading through this thread about people being dissapointed that you can't shoot trees down... seriously I know it's a concrete jungle, but do you really expect little trees like that to be something to be shooting at, "oh look there's a giant alien looking thing over there, let's shoot the tree on this walkway".
They probably removed it due to the song used :v:
The elevator Easter eggs is still there, they just fixed the bug where you could activate it before activating the generator.
I thought you could lean any way , i thought you went up to an object and hit an action button or something and you went into lean mode ?
Yeah the cover system in this game is extremely fluid and useful. It's the first I've ever seen like it. The only disappointment I have is that there is no maximum speed anymore.. I'm going to miss ramming myself into people and seeing them fly 20 feet. question: Do the dog tags and trophies collectables, etc you find in single player effect multiplayer in any way? Hng, http://www.facepunch.com/group.php?groupid=2269
