[sp]They got mutilated and torn apart by those big flying squiddies. Nothing biological like Prophet was implying, which is why I think the biological stuff happened to Nomad and Psycho.[/sp] [editline]23rd March 2011[/editline] Probably.
[sp]Oh I see, then I can't help but feel they'll go back for Nomad and Psycho.[/sp]
I love you guys.
Am I the only one whose main reason for not purchasing this yet is that I don't want to start at level 5 online
[sp]Oh I see, then I can't help but feel they'll go back for Nomad and Psycho.[/sp]
[sp]I know. Despite my beliefs, it'd be such a slap in the face if they really did kill off Nomad and Psycho offscreen and not even bother to tell us.[/sp]
[sp]One of Prophet's memories had him having a direct confrontation with Hargreave in his office, accusing him of fully knowing what was going to happen at Lingshan, and knowing what was going to happen with the nanosuits once they got in contact with Ceph biology. Seeing as Jester and Aztec were mutilated by the big flying guys too quickly to not have been affected by anything biological, it's only logical to assume that Prophet was mentioning something that happened to Nomad and Psycho. Unless Crytek ends up retconning Jester and Aztec's deaths somehow.[/sp] From what I've been hearing on this thread there's going to be a prequel comic coming soon that'll connect Crysis and Crysis 2 more thoroughly than any reference in Cry2 did, so hopefully it'll tell us what exactly happened to everyone between Crysis and Crysis 2.
[sp]I don't think Crytek is going to retcon. We saw images of Jester and Aztec dead in flashbacks. Also, Prophet was becoming hybridized with the suit, so it's likely he was speaking of himself instead. Unless Nomad and Psycho have gone post human.[/sp]
Am I the only one whose main reason for not purchasing this yet is that I don't want to start at level 5 online
It's a code you enter on the MyCrysis website, so if you order now you don't need to shoot up to level 5.
Am I the only one whose main reason for not purchasing this yet is that I don't want to start at level 5 online
Nope, me too, but I might give up on that waiting...
wow i was just playing singleplayer and suddenly i lost all my nano catalysts, i had like 6k saved up to get one of the later upgrades and it just reverted back to 0...
Am I the only one whose main reason for not purchasing this yet is that I don't want to start at level 5 online
makes all of about 30 minutes of a difference really.
Would someone do me a favor and quickly check their "bin32" folder to see if there are two executables? One for the launcher and maybe another for the actual game? I'm thinking maybe the launcher is trying to launch something that got removed somehow and that is why my game wont start at all.
Am I the only one whose main reason for not purchasing this yet is that I don't want to start at level 5 online
The retail version comes with a voucher with the code on it. You can activate it any time on MyCrysis. I would assume this would be the same for the EA download manager but the code would be given via email. Can't say the same for Steam because from the looks of it, it looks like it's all automatic.
Call of Crysishaloduty 2

The suit actually integrates itself into the wearer. It's symbiotic.[/sp]

Then the game won't register any further nano-points for a while. I don't know how to fix it, but when it does get fixed somehow, it doesn't remember how many points you used to have, and instead just counts the ones you get from then on. It's a shitty bug, but I still managed to get enough to get all the modules in SP by the end of the campaign. This is like Crysis all over again, this time it's "THIS IS A COD CLONE WAH" instead of "THIS ISN'T A GAME, THIS IS A BENCHMARKING TOOL". Maybe like Crysis, people will stop judging it by one aspect and enjoy it.
The singleplayer certainly is not a CoD clone. Far too open for that. The multiplayer obviously is.
The singleplayer certainly is not a CoD clone. Far too open for that. The multiplayer obviously is.
Not even. Where in CoD is stealth? A very key feature of the multiplayer? Yeah, the perks are basically the same in some cases, which does piss me off a bit, but the actual gameplay of the game, not quite CoD. [editline]23rd March 2011[/editline] Though, some of the maps need work.
I love sticking C4 on the back of the heavy Ceph.

is this game worth getting? Worth getting in my opinion is a single-player longer then 10 hours or it better have a good story/be kick ass. and multiplayer that can be fun and entertaining for at least 3 weeks and or more.

and another question. does this run better than the first crysis?
Way better. Oh, is it possible for anyone to upload the patch files? The EADM doesn't keep a steady connection.
There's a new patch out? Or are we still talking about the day 1 patch?
My multiplayer stats arent saving and ranked servers are still broken. Day 2 and still no DX11 or advanced settings. Did I just get trolled?
cry about it
Thing I love about Crysis in general, particularly 2, is that 99% of the time if it's not part of the objective, you can just sneak past any enemies. Trying to do it now on a Posthuman Warrior run.
Could I get a hand please? I'm at the part where [sp] You run around after having Gould taken away, and that old dude is talking to you and tells you to go to the Alien Hive, and you do that, so you're going to these things and shoving your hand into them, whatever the fuck that does, I wasn't paying attention.[/sp] Well, I got to [sp] the second one, where there is a bit of a water fall, and then a huge vortex like hole that all the water is flowing into and the second alien thing you shove your hand into. I shoved my hand into it and now its telling me to go to an area, but I can't access it, I spent 25-30 minutes running around and couldn't figure out what to do. [/sp]
I don't get the story.. Those other people want to kill Prophet in the beginning because he's infected but you aren't even prophet.. Why don't you just say you're not freakin' Prophet?.. And why does Prophet need you in the suit? Last hope blah blah but aren't other nanosuit users fighting the aliens too? The ones that are attacking you because they think you're Prophet? What the hell is going on. No spoilers please.
