Ive just played a few missions on the campaign. I'm kinda disappointed. Of what Ive played at least, Its been "Go there, shoot that" while getting hit by enemies that just won't die. The control scheme feels more changed then it needed to be, It feels like I'm trying to do precision dancing, if I do one thing wrong everything falls apart and I get raped by highly accurate enemies. It's not really fun, the only thing that keeps me playing is the story. And if the MP is still like it was on the Demo, then I'd even take the step to compare it to Duty Calls. I was looking forward to this game, I'm a pretty Crysis fanboy you could say, but this was just painful.
No I'm not playing on a TV.
Yo dawgs g-asses. Someone has the Crysis 2 console commands somewhere. I want to disable that shitty HUD to take some dang screenshots.
Dunno if a fix has been posted, but I'm playing now and all the lights are constantly flashing, hurts my eyes. Anyone else had this?
You won't be able to play it.
I got mine in the post today, as well. I was surprised when I found out I could play - I thought I had to wait until tomorrow, but all the activator wanted was my serial.
Installing right now, I'll be able to play as the release date here is the 24th/today. :v:
Bought Crysis 2 today at work. Should I install it with the CD, or activate it through steam? I want it on steam, but I don't know if you can install it from disk when you activate it through steam. I don't want to download it when I got it on a cd

When you do buy a Steamworks title, activating the serial on Steam will start a download for the game. Installing it from disc will be quicker.
can I still use steam friends and shit like that if I install with disc?
Sure, just add Crysis 2 to your Steam library as a non-Steam game, and then create a desktop shortcut through Steam.

Is it possible for anyone to upload the Day One patch somewhere? EADM keeps losing connection.
I got my copy in the post today, I've played around 20 minutes of it. Don't think I'll be able to play anymore of it, the motion blur makes me feel dizzy. Very difficult to aim, and it can't be switched off as far as I can see. I searched on Google and found a page telling me to put "r_motionblur=0" into the system.cfg file. Did that, motion blur definitely wasn't switched off, although it may have reduced a bit, and I still feel sick playing it. Does anyone else get this problem?
[img_thumb]http://www.platformnation.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/gta4-boxart.jpg[/img_thumb]
Don't be obtuse. GTA is a sandbox, Crysis is an FPS.
i hope they fix these fucking problems soon. This is from a user on MyCrysis.com, it explains my problem very well.
I have another update to this strange situation. So I now have an active profile inside Crysis 2 that is using (I think) some strange sub facet of my Crysis 1 login profile. I updated my gamespy profile with a new password (My nickname on mycrysis.com and gamespy/crysis 1 is the same, though the mycrysis.com is a newer registration of that nickname) but Crysis 2 is still only accepting the OLD password as a valid login. When I log in to play the first Crysis I need to use my UPDATED password in order to access the multiplayer. Whatever the issue is, my active Crysis 2 in-game/Multiplayer profile is caught in some kind of sub-limbo zone that I can't seem to access from anywhere. Even beyond that, I still cannot login to the game using this mycrysis.com profile (I'm assuming because the game is giving priority to this older, but identical, nickname). As far as I can tell, there are features attached to the multplayer that require the use of the mycrysis.com site. I would really like it if I would be able to get access to those at some point... also if anyone from Crytek would like to say anything more at all about this issue and what they're doing to correct it. Please. Pretty please.
Bought this yesterday so far, on Xbox 360. I love it. I'm going to get it on PC once I build my new one.
Sure, just add Crysis 2 to your Steam library as a non-Steam game, and then create a desktop shortcut through Steam.
You don't even have to make a desktop shortcut brah
When I enter my serial it just tells me it'll unlock tomorrow :(
Crysis 1 was both
No, Crysis was a semi-linear FPS. The difference being that sandboxes will let you go anywhere at anytime and ignore the main game. Crysis only gave you a chunk of the island at a time to complete a mission in, and while you can do said missions however you want, you still had to do them, and you still pretty much progressed in a linear way, with no way to go back to a previous chunk of the island once you've completed that level.
Is there any way to get advanced graphics options? High lags for me.
Every time I try to connect to an online server it just tells me my serial key is in use, which is bullshit.. Anyone know what is going on here? It's also not saving my serial code when I re-start the game.

Load Crysis 2, go to multiplayer and type in your key 2. Navigate back to Single Player 3. Go back into multiplayer and re-enter your key After completing these 3 steps your multiplayer key will be saved and you will not be required to re-enter it. If you complete these steps and it still does work post here and let us know. Please ensure carefully that you follow the steps above before reporting an issue.
I just finished it. It had some good twists here and there, I suppose it's pretty good game
It seems that if I DO manage to get onto a server, it's bugged and does not start the fucking game.
Beat the game on the hardest setting, was pretty challenging. Wish there was more to do though, the multiplay is kind of fucked. Still haven't even received my limited edition shit. Wish I could use the level editor or devmode.
it runs okay now. The intro staged lagged like a fucking bitch, but now when I'm outside it runs a-okay. Wish I could turn off the blur.

Press your ~ key for console. The available commands are here: http://pastebin.com/Rzn7gjNb .
Only 3 hours until UK release
