You have to type in your limited edition promo key on the mycrysis site. Press your ~ key for console. The available commands are here: http://pastebin.com/Rzn7gjNb .
I did. It took it the first time and I loaded up my game and noticed nothing happened. Went back to re-enter it and keep getting a "Usage Limit has been reached" message and it no longer shows up in my purchase history. Apparently a bunch of people are having issues with it.
It worked for me. When I logged into multiplayer, it gave me this red message saying I have all this stuff. Although I think that if you want to use it right from the get-go, you gotta be on ranked servers which from what I hear are currently broken.
Oh, I know now why i got such low fps, I had disable SLI... Now I'm running it on extreme with 50-60fps, but it's still hard to aim due to the mouse acceleration/ mouse smoothing (I think?) that cannot be disabled.
You don't even have to make a desktop shortcut brah
I know, I was just offering a convenient way of launching Crysis 2 with Steam, without using the Steam library window, man.
This game is great. The graphics are amazing, especially the lighting, and it runs with 60+ fps (feels like that at least, any way to check?) on extreme. It's a shame you can't get it any higher, Some models and textures load too slowly, and there's a bit of pop in once in a while.
Are they going to release modding tools for this?
Yo dawgs g-asses. Someone has the Crysis 2 console commands somewhere. I want to disable that shitty HUD to take some dang screenshots.
I want to disable ebonics but I doubt it'll ever happen. [editline]24th March 2011[/editline] Still waiting on the 1.2 patch to add advanced settings and multiplayer stat tracking :(
So how the fuck do you get multi gpu to work? Right now it only gives me flicker.
So how the fuck do you get multi gpu to work? Right now it only gives me flicker.
You don't. The game is a broken piece of shit. Disable your second GPU, or try renaming the executable to another game. I hear rift and dirt2 work.

There's nothing wrong with the game at all. ATI and Nvidia just need to release a new set of application profiles that works with this game.
There's nothing wrong with the game at all. ATI and Nvidia just need to release a new set of application profiles that works with this game.
Both have :argh: crytek!
Bought the PS3 version yesterday, Its a good solid game!
it runs okay now. The intro staged lagged like a fucking bitch, but now when I'm outside it runs a-okay. Wish I could turn off the blur.
You can. Open the console and type r_motionblur 0 or something along those lines. Also, I only tried this in the beta, but I can imagine it'd work in the retail version as well.
So it's the manufacturer's fault that the game is defective?
I don't think you understand. Nothing is defective. Some people here are using multiple GPU technology that is not universally supported and requires new application profiles so that it can work with newer games. From what I can see, ATI released new profiles the 16th, so crossfire should work with them installed. However, as I mentioned before, all implementations of multiple GPU technology just aren't universally supported, so it's possible that the application profile doesn't help and multi-GPU is still not properly supported for this particular game yet. In this case, my best advice would be to stop using crossfire until it's supported. And in the future I'd also suggest using systems with single GPUs to increase compatibility and to reduce potential problems like this. People should have learned not to fuck with multiple GPUs back when microstuttering was the new buzzword.
So it's the manufacturer's fault that the game is defective?
yes, it is. Do you not understand how CF and SLI work?
I'm not buying this game due to the fact It's not open-world and consolised, admit it - it's true.
So uhm, the game is gonna be released at midnight right? Not at 11am or something like that, like they did with Blops?
I'm not buying this game due to the fact It's not open-world and consolised, admit it - it's true.
to an extent have you played it? It's pretty good nevertheless and if you're that adamant then I say you're missing out
I'm not buying this game due to the fact It's not open-world and consolised, admit it - it's true.
Bad reasons, but can't argue with them.
So uhm, the game is gonna be released at midnight right? Not at 11am or something like that, like they did with Blops?
Did in yesterdays release, so it should today.
I'm not buying this game due to the fact It's not open-world and consolised, admit it - it's true.
The original wasn't open world either. it's consolized in as far as the beautiful graphics aren't as big a jump ahead as the original. But that doesn't mean they won't be fixed by either a patch, DX10, DX11, or user mods that regularly improve most things?
Did in yesterdays release, so it should today.
Great! Then I'll be playing at midnight :v:
DX10/11 won't fix bad textures.
off topic but do you still have your emphasized gi tweak you posted a while back
I reckon it's okay. Not as good as the first by any stretch of the imagination, but it's still pretty fun. What I find funny is that in the first game, the combat got boring after the aliens arrived, but in this one, they basically made the aliens act like human soldiers... So they're still kinda fun to fight against :v:
