You realise when they release the SDK in the summer it will be incompatible with the retail game, just like the UDK is with Unreal Tournament 3. The SDK is for indie development, not creating mods for Crysis 2.

Now the servers don't start. Why is it so hard for developers to make a game that works on day 1? Every game I've preordered seems to have day1 problems.
I thought they were also releasing the Sandbox for Crysis 2 modding as well as the full SDK for indie devs...
The SDK is for indie development only though, and I doubt the sandbox will be released until EA are finished milking the game with DLC.
The Stealth kills are probably one of my favorite features in this game http://www.zilefile.com/files/15145_hhr9c/Crysis2%20tweakstealthkill.jpg http://www.zilefile.com/files/15146_ahbdv/Crysis2%20tweakstealthkill1.jpg Mostly that twisted neck one.
i just recorded this, no spoilers
Everything looks awesome about, see a few bugs, but it's okay. Also flickering water.
the flickering water/sound ripping was caused by FRAPS, it didn't do it before i started recording
The SDK is for indie development only though, and I doubt the sandbox will be released until EA are finished milking the game with DLC.
I think you've got "EA" and "Activision" confused, buddy. Activision's the major prick with the DLC milking. EA's more laid back about DLC nowadays. If we had gone a few years in the past your assumption would probably be right on the money, though.
Seeing as how there's an ingame store I assume they're going to release lots of DLC...

Also before Modern Warfare 2 and EA's propaganda prior to the release of Bad Company 2, the gaming community in general felt EA was the "evil corporation out to suck you dry" and Activision was "Those dudes that made Tony Hawk, right?" Funny how times change.

Check this out, some nice comparison screenshots about CryEngine 3, Crysis 2. http://www.incrysis.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=33006 Also, if interested, look at PDF, it explains a few graphical features on Crysis 2.

Hey, guys, look, vagi-Chino. More like an asshole if you ask me. Edit: More nightmares edition!:
Oh look, a mod. [hd]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0xUluBfpPk[/hd] http://crymod.com/thread.php?threadid=67666 Hilarity ensues from all the Crytek fanboys crying over modding.
A game that isn't locked down to all forms of modding and not a direct console port? Basically the list he just posted except GTA4 which is quite enjoyable and bugless, at least for me. It's still the least optimised port of last decade though.
OH MY GOD THE DEMO WAS A FUCKING CONSOLE PORT. THEY DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO MAKE A PC DEMO BECAUSE THE WHINING COMMUNITY ASKED FOR ONE A MONTH BEFORE THE RELEASE. It's not a console port.

Great, steam just killed itself for me so now I can't play.. unless.. brb going to the common folder thing in steamapps
It's really not hard to ship a PC demo, especially when the fucking demo was made on the PC and ported to the consoles...
Well that doesn't matter now because the game is released. And it's not a port from console to PC.
Well that doesn't matter now because the game is released. And it's not a port from console to PC.
The art is still console-quality though.
The art is still console-quality though.
Ignore that the game is more fluid and dynamic and feels a lot better. Ignore that it is about gameplay and bitch about graphics. You know, people always bitch about how the game industry is dying, shit like this is why. :colbert:

Does Steam work for anyone else right now? It instantly kicked me off, so I logged back on and now it says "Steam is having trouble connecting to the Steam servers"
