Does Anybody know how to setup LAN in crysis 2? I'm having a LAN party and my internet is down for maintenance starting tommorrow morning and we all have crysis 2.
Unfortunately, I'm not particularily sure you can even host a server, let alone make it lan.
EDIT: You could host servers in the leak. Maybe they are magically compatible?
Don't think you can.

I know companies are trying to prevent cracked servers but it kills LAN parties in the process. Can you imagine if Starcraft 2 had no LAN capability?
Yes. Very easily.

If you try it out let us know if it works or not.

I didn't think it did.

Emulating it is no difficulty.
I just bought Crysis 2, and apparantly I can't play online because my CD-Key is already in use ... what is this shit?
Apparently, there is a rumor going around that NVidia paid Crytek to delay the release of Dx11 so NVidia could release their GTX 590 in time for Dx11 features.

but the 590 is already out

...which came out after the Crysis 2 launch. The point of delaying Dx11 is so the card could come out before the Dx11 patch came out.
It's fucking ridiculous the ranked servers haven't been patched yet. Three days? Come on, Crytek, you fuckers. If you're gonna screw up that royally, start fixing.
Now that it's being mentioned, I think I'll go and try messing about with the leaked beta server files, who knows, maybe we can get our own dedicated servers running?

Try this. It worked for me.
1. Load Crysis 2, go to multiplayer and type in your key
2. Navigate back to Single Player
3. Go back into multiplayer and re-enter your key
Don't bother joining any ranked servers. All of them wont start because of some glitch on Cryteks part. Just play some unranked matches.
The FOV is killing me...
I wonder if the nanosuit mask smells bad.
What if you puke in it?
I just beat it again. One thing I love about Crytek is that you always find some new feature or mechanic in the game through multiple playthroughs.
On just this playthrough, I found out that if you press down Mouse 3, it opens up the nanosuit wheel. A feature I thought was completely forgotten since the last Crysis. Top left of wheel is armor, top right cloak, bottom left gun customization. Top middle is power if I remember, and bottom right is armor customization.
there were a lot of codes that did stuff no dev would want you to do
stuff like unlocking all the dlc, etc etc
probably took out a whole chunk just to be safe.
Oh, well hopefully they'll take the time to put back in the codes that were safer to use.
And God Mode. I want to do a GodMode playthrough of this game just for kicks. And so I can kill every enemy in the game with chokehold/tossing "maneuvers" without getting killed by everyone else in the area..

Top middle is visors.
The saving system is a bit annoying.
I lost about 20 minutes of killing a ton of those annoying as fuck aliens and get charged and killed by that brute alien thing as i almost got to where i was meant to go.
I just C4'd the fuck out of all the aliens, problem solved.

It took you that long to figure this out? I just assumed this was common knowledge. Although last time I tried it the powers didn't seem to select so I went back to using E for cloak.
The wheel is nice, but having those buttons right next to you seemed so much more convenient, and quick.
I love fighting the aliens in this game. Compared to the aliens in the first game these actually require strategy.
Well it's not true, but ofcourse it's going to be longer if you're experimenting with things.
The game took me 10-12 hours.
So yes it is true.

Because they have legs :P

Not if you're half decent at FPS games. If you don't waste your time killing everything and use cloak to your advantage a 4-6hr run isn't difficult. Use the stealth based upgrades and stealth mode to your advantage.
I need some help, I have tried pretty much all I can think of, but I can't fucking disable motion blur!

Than that is your problem.
Crysis is about being open-ended. Some sections I ran, some I stealthed, some I killed those mother fuckers. It is all about choice.

Use that advanced tool and disable it.
