Psycho didn't lose his chute.
I can't help but wonder why the hell the audio stutters so much. It seems that, despite running pretty smoothly, the audio system in the game is just plain broken. On an unrelated sidenote... Maximum denial?
Enjoying this so far. The gameplay and visuals are great. The story on the other hand is pretty bland though. What I also don't like is how you can't fire your gun while grabbing someone, that you have to be cloaked in order to stealth kill and how the leaning system they got going doesn't apply for everything- specific buttons for leaning would have been swell.
I really don't understand the whole Prophet and Alcatraz thing. [sp]The CELL think you're Prophet but you're actually Alcatraz, but then it gets totally fucked up at the end of the game where the player says "They call me Prophet" to some guy named Rasch.[/sp] What the fuck is going on?
they do call the player prophet, silly
Enjoying this so far. The gameplay and visuals are great. The story on the other hand is pretty bland though.
I found the story to be very compelling and interesting. I especially liked the story events when they disabled the suit and made you see how much you had to struggle under the weight of the thing when it wasn't taking care of everything.
Nomad wasn't that good of a character, I'm not sure why everyone likes him so much now. Psycho, on the other hand...
Arguably Gordon isn't a good character either but you'd still be pissed if they killed him off panel.
I didn't fully understand the ending. [sp]How did Prophet respond when Rasch asked him who it was in the suit?[/sp] [editline]25th March 2011[/editline]
[sp]You are alcatraz. Prophet gives you the suit but some part of him is still in the suit due to it being symbiotic. When the suit starts to merge with Alcatraz it fuses their personalities together and you become prophet again (this time a fusion of Alcatraz and Prophet)[/sp] In other words, a wizard did it.
Oh, this just answered my question. Thanks.
Completed the campaign an hour ago. Little summary for those who don't have it. [sp]Story is slow at first, with little done in the first few missions Then it starts to get more serious, with the Aliens replacing CELL at 95% from then on. Alcatraz puts his best trollface on and walks past a bunch of CELL being held in a prison cell Story slightly slows, but resorts to mindfuckery (That digital face :0 ) to keep the player interested Pace goes much more faster and things start getting revealed. And then you get dropped into a massive alien clusterfuck, and have to unfuck what the whole last week fucked.[/sp] It was pretty cool to [sp]see all the people on Wall Street at the end after the reverse engineered virus kills all the Aliens[/sp] And Alcatraz's sudden one liner on par with Nomad's. I won't even put it in spoiler tags. Just see for yourself. I didn't bother to check, but was Alcatraz voice-acted by the same person who did Nomad's voice? [editline]26th March 2011[/editline] I just watched the ending again. And it kind of raised 2 questions. 1. [sp]Where did Chino run off to now?[/sp] 2. Why does [sp]Rasch[/sp] contact Alcatraz even though Hargreave said that [sp]Rasch was incompetent and didn't "Take the cold road to immortality[/sp] 2.1 Extremely thick French accent. I couldn't understand what he was saying without subtitles. Anyone think they can figure these out?
Anyone else come across a glitch were you randomly lose ALL Nano Catalyst and can't collect any more?
Assault is really biased towards the defenders. The nanosuit makes a difference sure, but once the attackers start capturing they really can't do anything.
Anyone else come across a glitch were you randomly lose ALL Nano Catalyst and can't collect any more?
Yep. Don't worry, you'll be able to collect more after a short while (don't know exactly how long), but you'll never get back the Catalyst you lost, which would suck if you had a lot because you were saving up for something. That glitch was the reason why I always made sure to spend as much as I could before the next checkpoint and leaving the game. That way the loss isn't so severe. I still managed to get enough to unlock all the modules in my first playthrough, which should make my second playthrough very interesting.
How long is single player anyway? I'm kinda hooked on Multiplayer right now.
Holy fucking shit the last level of this was fucking cool. [sp]FLOATING ISLANDS :D[/sp]
Can't figure out what last attachment I'm missing. I just finished finding the laser attachment for the pistol which took me awhile. Anyone have any ideas to what is the last one?
probably the gauss cannon
Oh wow. That last cutscene was pretty cool.

This is my main gripe with higher FOV's. You can see through walls if you're using a higher FOV. 90: 70: 55 (Default):
probably the gauss cannon
Do you mean the Gauss SCAR attachment? If so, I already have that. If you mean the Gauss Rifle, I'm pretty sure it can only use different sights, in which I already have. God this is going to annoy me for the next few days. [editline]25th March 2011[/editline]
Where did you find that?
Navigate to the campaign menu and it will give your your stats on it. It has everything from the collectibles, play time, and other things.
FUCKING A! This game caused my PSU to burn out THUS at the same time frying my mother board.. CRYSIS TWO BROKE MY COMPUTER!? not a bad thing 100%.. i did need a new one.. but this wasn't the way i was expecting it to go. She died in a hail of gun fire... and melted wiring.

Well, I know what I'm asking for for my birthday! ... Too bad my dinosaur 8600GT will barely run this thing.

Still looks stunning at close distances.
Just finished SP. 11.4 hrs - Total Playtime. Started after school at 4:30 ended just now : 4 AM Brilliant Game. Now gonna get to MP

I crashed in Killing Floor once, and it said my processor was "amd UNKNOWN PROCESSOR 2.4 ghz."
Oh goodness. I've played two hours in the C2 campaign so far, I don't know if I can continue. It is a horrible disappointment. It's like they took out all the good stuff from the first game and replaced it with the most irritating things from CoD:MW2. The entire campaign so far has been a rail shooter. Short runs through narrow corridors broken up by two-minute cutscenes. A list of the things which I find irritating:

you jump when you LET GO of the spacebar, not when you press it.
The utterly useless visor mode.
Hitting an enemy while they are doing an environmental animation (like climbing under a pipe) does not deal damage.
The "funny quotes" that pop up if you do certain things ("Warning: 1.21 Gigawatts", "You got a speeding ticket").
Pistol-sized silencers on a shotgun. And the make the shotgun sound like a pistol.
Buying upgrades.
Having to toggle crouching.
Collectibles. Nobody likes collectibles. I'm okay with easter eggs, but not ones that show up as a stat.
No prone mode.
[sp]Zombies.[/sp]
The enemy can see you through walls.
[sp]Aliens that look like Predators.[/sp]
The HORRIBLE screenplay and the seemingly uninterested voice actors.
I'll probably find more as I go. IF I go. Feel free to argue that I'm wrong.
Wait, they removed prone and leaning? Aww. I loved using proning to my utmost advantage in Crysis 1. 1. Cloak 2. Sprint to nearest rock 3. Prone behind rock, wait to recharge energy 4. Repeat
There's lean. It's not the standard Q/E lean, it's more of a first person cover system. Haven't even noticed if it's in MP though.
Oh. Well, prone is still gone.
Wait, they removed prone and leaning? Aww. I loved using proning to my utmost advantage in Crysis 1. 1. Cloak 2. Sprint to nearest rock 3. You run up to a corner and press Mouse2, and you lean out from behind cover. Pretty nice. Q and E are used for Armour and Cloak now :/ And yes, removing prone is unforgivable.
