Oh wow, I just killed that big tripod alien thing and then was run over buy the hummers that roll in right after. :saddowns: There wasn't even a checkpoint after it died!
That's why I prefered Crysis 1's saving system, you could save literally anywhere.
[sp]But to take it off he had to kill himself? Uhm... did they really make a deus ex machina in the first second of the game?[/sp]
[sp]No with the nanosuit 2.0 you can take it off, but since it is symbiotically bonded with the host's mind, it will not let go unless the previous host is dead[/sp]

^That.
After reading throught his thread I'm not too sure I whether or not I want to buy crysis 2 anymore. What's the verdict gentlemen? Should I get it?

Yes. The gameplay alone is worth buying it for.

If you're in it just for the campaign then its a great buy. Multiplayer needs a lot more polish though. Christ, the MP demo had more working features than the actual retail MP.
MP is horribly frustrating, I'd literally play MW2 over this right now. I am so fucking annoyed by cloak in this game, its ridiculous.
The map design gives me headache, too. No map seems to have any kind of symmetry or structure, the minimap is cluttered with shit and orientation is hard. This is the first game where I actually had problems finding my way through an MP map.
Spawn system is flawed, too. Sometimes I spawn in front of two enemies. Just like that. Instant death. NOTHING I CAN DO.
Also, the killcam is laggy, and even shows the wrong person sometimes, they shoulda kept it out.

The singleplayer is great, but I've had a lot of problems with lag and disconnections in multiplayer. I didn't have these problems in the demo.
I'm sure the issues will be fixed soon though.
Level 39.... So far away....
Verdict on whether to buy: If you want it on console, rent it and play through SP.
On PC, wait till the price drops.
SP is too short to justify the price right now.
[sp]I don't understand it either, if it's symbiotic and is taking him over and he has to kill himself to get rid of it, how does he take it off? And better yet if it's so closely linked into the blood stream and such with all of the shit it releases into the body, how does one simply 'take it off'?[/sp]
Finished the campaign in about 15 hours on Post-Human (8 hours and 16 minutes if you don't count the deaths).
I thoroughly enjoyed it.
How does one disable crouch toggle? I'm used to Half-Life style controls.
I haven't tried the multiplayer yet, seeing as I can't log on to MyCrysis, but I might as well just wait until they fix all the problems I keep hearing about.

[sp]He has to kill himself to get rid of the mental link. It wasn't physically attached to him so he could take it off, unlike Alcatraz where it's literally growing into his wounds to keep him alive. Where are you getting this linked into the blood stream crap?[/sp]

[sp]He doesn't have to kill himself to take it off, he has to kill himself to disconnect his mind from it. We only see the suit stitch itself into Alcatraz, maybe the undersuit Prophet was wearing prevented the suit from stitching into him.[/sp]
Hahahaha, have you ever used DX11?

If you can't see the difference then I don't know who can. This is on the extreme tessellation setting too, which is why it's like a hot knife through my buttery fps. Sure the benchmark oversimplifies the non tessellated geometry, but you would never be able to get nearly as much detail without tessellation anyway. If you just run DX11 mode without tessellation you'll see a big FPS increase because of DX11 being natively multithreaded.
At the cost of 30 FPS? I'd rather not.
God dammit the Pinger on Power Out is always looking at me even if I'm cloaked. I can't get any C4 on it or get behind it to use rockets. Since this is my Post-Human Warrior playthrough, every time I uncloak to place C4 or fire rockets = instant death because it drains my energy.
Oh no it's almost time for v2

[sp]When he shoots him self, don't you notice that the suit is off?[/sp]

[sp]It is linked to the blood stream. Did you even watch the intro to the first game? Don't act like he's spewing nonsense just because you didn't know something.[/sp]

[sp]Because idk it's just like the first game, where the suit seems to physically be a part of them. You see it inject things into the bloodstream whenever you activate a power from what I remember. It appears to genetically alter the wearer, maybe I missed something[/sp]

No you're correct. He just has no idea what he's talking about.

Just shoot at it. Go to cover, get out, shoot. Go back, get out, shoot. It's repetitive but it works.

Yeah I didn't think all of those videos of the inside of someones body were in vain, it has to be linked somehow.

And I thought Flatiron building was thin.
Also finished in around 14-15 hours on hardened with all collectibles.
Best singleplayer I've played in a long time (altough killing humans is still more fun than aliens).
I don't think this has been posted yet (DX11 and advanced graphics patch tomorrow):

What will the DX11 features be exactly?
Also, kinda sucks for those who've already beat the game in DX9 mode...
