I am pretty happy though, on the highest setting it ran smooth.
If anyone finds a way to edit the settings manually (config/settings file), please post in the thread. :unsmith:
Can you make an account on gamespy website and then login ingame?
You should be able to, yes.
Crytek: Using the greatest tech and engines for our games, and then using GameSpy for multiplayer

It just resets to the login screen. No error, nothing. I tried my MyCrysis account too.
Why do my unlocks keep resetting? I unlock something with a module then after a game, I come back to customize and it says they're not unlocked but still equipped. Even though I get the module back, it's bloody annoying because it keeps resetting my challenges for what I wanted to unlock.
Weird, I can log in perfectly fine.

Server problems, probably.
Why would you not allow numbers and digits yet lie and say you allow digits? And why the fuck not have numbers in our nickname/unique name? Does it do any harm? If we can have digits and numbers on our Gamespy nickname/uniquename then why can't we use it when logging into our accounts in the demo? I changed my unique name to tehMuffinManu yet that apparently has digits and numbers. WHAT I try my nickname yet that doesn't work, my pass is easy for me to remember.
I've had it with trying to log into the demo.

Wow three guys fell for my hologram all at once. Killed them all. Funny thing is, the last guy was crouched in my hologram firing. I don't think he understood what was happening.
If I had an account on one of gamespy's "planet*blank*" forums (the now-defunct Planet-AVP, to be precise), is that the same as the sort of gamespy account you guys are talking about?
How do I change the goddamn video settings? And how do I turn off mouse smoothing? I am running at like 40 fps and the game is trying to go full retard and make up for the lost frames with mouse lag. And I don't even have vsync on.
Is it just me or is account logging in or creation totally broken at mycrysis.com?

i keep timing out on their website too
Very possible due to server overloading.
Sound isn't playing for me in the demo..

probably because of fucking effects overload
Just played a few games and meh.
1. Sprinting takes power... what. Every fucking games uses shift to sprint so now I am unknowingly draining power when I don't want to...
2. All the weapons sound exactly the same at a distance.
3. Sound effects are way over the top. Can't tell if someone is near me or my suit is doing some dumb shit again.
4. I could never tell what was going on in skyline. It was really hard to pay attention to the markers so I just wandered around shooting things.

Graphics are good though.

Oh god I thought that they were lagging/disconnected players, I kept spazzing melee at holograms.
Wow, I can't login so I can't play.

The new suit modes are really easy to understand. There's the mode where your suit energy recovers but you're vulnerable, stealth mode, and armor mode. Both stealth mode and armor mode constantly drain energy while they are active so you can't just walk around in either one, they must be used sparingly and to fit the situation. However, there are other suit powers that work across all modes, and they're the same shit from Crysis 1, just simplified. When you jump or melee, you automatically strength jump or strength melee, because it's incredibly redundant to switch to a mode whose only use is jumping and melee. When you sprint, it's basically like enabling speed mode in Crysis 1 except without the redundancy of having to actually enable a mode used only for sprinting.
I love the new streamlined nanosuit.
how are you people logging in? did you make new accounts or did your old ones work for you?
what if you dont WANT to strength jump
what if you dont WANT to strength jump
It seems to do whatever the situation calls for. I think if you're in a building or under something that would limit your jump, or in a situation where you're jumping up to grab and pull yourself up to something, it doesn't take energy. Or maybe it does. I don't know, it's kind of weird. I need more time to fuck with it before I fully understand the suit behavior.
The username I use on MyCrysis is exactly the same as here, on Facepunch.
The username field for the login screen in the game does not accept spaces.
Am I screwed?
you log in with gamesppppy
you log in with gamesppppy
I'll try that again when I get back from college.

Why do the different graphics settings look exactly the same?
They also seem to run exactly the same on my system.
I think the graphics setting is a lie. I also don't see any kind of configuration files or anything of the sort in the game's install folder. I don't suppose a system.cfg will work but I haven't tried. No access to console. This is troubling.
yeah for me i get 30 fps no matter what setting

Shit i didn't know the hologram was in the demo, I just died shooting at what I thought was a guy stealthed :v:
[editline]1st March 2011[/editline]
Also is the thermal vision just that or does it do anything else?
