1: The gameplay is a direct copy of MW2/Black Ops; the worst games ever made. 2: The game looks worse than the original, has autoaim on PC, and doesn't have tweakable graphical settings or a console. Otherwise known as consoleitus. 3: The game costs $59.99 despite the above.
1. The shooting and MP in general yes, but singleplayer doesn't really play like CoD. If you think it does, then I suppose Crysis 1 also played like CoD. 2. Yeah we've seen the full settings and all, autoaim is stupid yes but it can be disabled, and the graphical settings will be tweakable in the system.cfg or the .cfg for the respective setting as always. And it has a console. I suppose it's just not in a demo. 3. So do most games nowadays.
Yes, games like Call of Duty are getting old, but for fucks sake, doesn't mean they're shit. I still enjoy myself some Black Ops or Modern Warfare every now and then, can't wait for this. Also, since this is Facepunch and the Internet, I await my boxes...

No singleplayer game is worth $59.99.
The game has autoaim?
The game has autoaim?
Yes. It defaults on, even in multiplayer.
what does voting with my wallet even mean? if i vote with my wallet i buy the game because i have more than enough money to buy 50 copies of the game
He means don't buy the game. You're not going to take it anymore. You want to send them a message that you don't want the vidya geam.
what does voting with my wallet even mean? if i vote with my wallet i buy the game because i have more than enough money to buy 50 copies of the game
Voting with your wallet means not buying it so they have the incentive of money to actually try and fix the game. After all, once they have your money (Considering games cannot be returned once opened), they might as well drop all support for the game; which we've seen happen time and time again.

You're right about 3. 4. Subjective, but considering how much playtime I got out of Crysis 1 and Crysis 2 will have the same editor except improved, it'll be worth it to me.
idk why you retards are whining about how terrible cod is. the cod series is good if you like the quick deathmatch style and if you don't like it do your whole "vote with your wallet" routine and shut the fuck up because no one wants to hear the same excuses for why it's bad that are more rehashed than the games themselves
4. No singleplayer game is worth $59.99.
Uhh, why not?

Cryengine 3 feels junky to me. Even with the Dx11 videos that have been shown they said it would be a monumental step forward, the same in comparison to Far Cry moving on to Crysis. However Crysis 2 barely looks any better than Crysis, even in Dx11.
Uhh, why not?
Value is relative. When I can buy a (new) 6-8 hour game with multiplayer for $49.99, I'm certainly not going to pay $59.99 for a shorter;bugged game with broken multiplayer.

haha I'm terrible at multiplayer
Wait, there aren't any graphics settings?
Wait, there aren't any graphics settings?
As it is now, you only get one graphical option, and it doesn't actually change anything. It seems from interviews that the single option is actually going to be removed in the gold copy of the game.
i hope they tweak armour mode before release because it feels like it's only good for soaking up one extra bullet at the moment
Wait, there aren't any graphics settings?
There is a graphics setting. It doesn't seem to do anything in the multiplayer demo.
It may not look that much different, but global illumination, in real time, even on consoles, is a very big deal.
True but on consoles they cut the draw distance so much it just destroys any sort of immersion.
a (new) 6-8 hour game with multiplayer for $49.99
This game is??? Back on topic though, I really like the way the suit modes are now. It was really weird having power as the default at first though.
Value is relative. I don't pay 10 bucks for an hour of gameplay. Look at Borderlands, I got it for 30$ both on PC and xbox, and I did 2 playthroughs on both, each playthrough 24 hours long. That's value. MW2, which I paid 60 bucks for, gave me about 300 hours of more or less fun Multiplayer plus 24 of SP, also paid its value.
Wait, there aren't any graphics settings?
This is really the only thing that I'm pissed off about (apart from the demo basically not working) But I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that they'll do the right thing
There is a graphics setting. It doesn't seem to do anything in the multiplayer demo.
what? I'm sure a lot of the bloom and fancy effects turned off when I went from hardcore to gamer
Fair warning for you: Everything I said can be applied to Homefront as well; if you've pre-ordered that. Tis' the year of shitty games! At least we have Portal 2.
Yeah Skyrim, ME3, BF3, Witcher 2, and more are all shitty games! All hail valve who can do nothing wrong!
mycrysis came up working, I got logged in on the site, clicked login for the demo and then the website crashed again. :saddowns:
what? I'm sure a lot of the bloom and fancy effects turned off when I went from hardcore to gamer
That's awesome. When I change settings there's no difference whatsoever in either framerate or visual quality.
Fair warning for you: Everything I said can be applied to Homefront as well; if you've pre-ordered that. Tis' the year of shitty games! At least we have Portal 2.
Good thing I've decided to never again pre-order games on PC if they also come out on console. People keep saying that just because a game is not PC-exclusive it doesn't mean it will be worse. Well out of experience it does, even if the developer doesn't port the game from console to PC, fact is that the main mechanics will still be adapted for consoles (what works on consoles works on PC, what works on PC doesn't always work on consoles). Valve is an exception (I had hoped Crytek was too, guess not), at least up until now (I really hope they don't screw up Portal 2).
