At first I thought the netcode was a fucking joke. Even when my ping is great players with high ping get so much compensation that me being behind a GIANT WALL doesn't do shit. Even the killcam shows them shooting at thin air and still killing me. This is just insane.
And then of course there's the fact that the nanosuit isn't any better at protecting you then then the t-shirts the malitia in MW2 wear. You would think a super suit could protect you a bit better.

I got a kill with it. It was using it as a melee weapon.
I've been killed with it, with no armour and very low health, if that counts
I'd like it better if it was like the first Crysis except more refined instead of redefining the entire core multi-player.

Create a shortcut for Crysis2demo.exe
In the box where it says "C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis 2 Demo\bin32\Crysis2Demo.exe"
Add the +r_MotionBlur=0 to the end of that so it looks like this:

The beta ran silky smooth on Advanced yet on this demo even Gamer struggles. It only seems to happen when there's a certain amount of players. Did they forget to add LOD to player models or something?
Whats the verdict on the PC version so far? I don't want to bother downloading the demo. Is it a blatant console port?
I'm torn between the PC and Xbox version.
PC has:
Good: Map Editor, Dedicated Servers (?)
Bad: Securom, Long load times (For me, I don't mean everyone, my HDD is [b]ANCIENT[/b])
Xbox has:
Good: Easier to jump in and get going
Bad: No map editor

Remember, Crytek UK's (Formally FreeRadical, formed by ex RARE employees) employees are not experienced in PC games and have not made a single PC game (Exception of Crysis 2) since the [b]1980s[/b] and have been making console games (Not even a PC port!) since the late 80s until now. They are not used to creating Battlefield 1942/2/2142 style gameplay.

The graphical option doesn't do anything. You only get one setting.

I felt like Crysis wars was better because it had a Battlefield feel too it, large maps and more open enviroments.
This just feels like COD or any new FPS that likes to make small multiplayer maps that people just kill each other for hours in the same locations. I feel like FPS's need to move away from that and move to large maps and environments with more people on a larger scale, at least that seems better than the same small maps over and over.

Ok so the demo seems to be a console port, not surprised to tell you the truth. I guess it would take a lot more time to rework the demo around PC instead of just porting the 360 one. Hopefully their promise of the actual release having their own separate work-around versions is true.
Everyone complaining about things which are there due to a lack of content (eg maps) are being stupid.
This is a demo, not the full game.

Considering DX11 support is being patched in, I wouldn't expect any good decisions out of Crytek.
Remember, they said they weren't even going to make another PC game after Crysis came out, because they were butthurt about piracy. They don't give a fuck. In all honesty, the PC version of Crysis 2 exists because they want to sell their engine, and therefore need it to support a wide range of hardware.
