After playing this and the Beta I though the shit would get fixed. When I heard about only DX9 at launch I felt it was the last straw. Cancelled the preorder and getting some real games instead like RO2: Heroes of Stalingrad and The Witcher 2.

I've never noticed any lag at all.
It's pretty hard to find a server that isn't instantly full, and half the time you do get stuck in a lobby, but most games I get 150+ ping and I do fine.

The lag compensation is so ridiculous, got killed by a guy with a 500 ping after I was already in cover behind a thick conrete wall.

Wow looking at all the comments here it seems I'm the only one without any problems.
I got an account within 5 minutes, the game runs perfectly on 'gamer' settings and I get into matches at the first attempt.
Am I a rare breed?

I was on the fence about getting this game, and this server shitshow (with nary a peep out of Crytek about when it will be fixed) plus DX9 only on launch (which officially puts Crysis 2 behind Crysis 1 technically) has pushed me into the "no buy" camp.

crysis didn't use DX10 much, only for some shaders afaik
Crytek needs to pull their shit together. They're losing valuable PC fans since this demo. I too, am disappointed for MP. SP still looks amazing.

Yeah, they open up a few more options but they're too underpowered to dramatically define your style of play. Cloak mode is definitely helpful for ensuring that snipers, the most annoying thing in any multiplayer game, are almost non existent and easily avoidable, which just alleviates so much frustration. Stealth kills are ridiculously satisfying though. I'd say that the ability to superjump and grab ledges affects gameplay more.
I enjoy sliding into my enemies and kicking them in the balls.
I do the same in Crysis 2 mp.

It runs better than Crysis 1 and Warhead on my system.
