This game is bad IMO. Nothing really feels natural and it's trying too hard to be like Killzone 3.
'Hey Crytek, let's try to be a mediocre game that hasn't even come out yet!' 'Great idea!'
Uh, there aren't. You've probably misunderstood, you can still edit specific settings by editing .cfg files, but in the actual ingame options there's only presets.
they announced they're going to probably add it in... they said they only had preset options so they could figure out what settings people were ahving problems on
'Hey Crytek, let's try to be a mediocre game that hasn't even come out yet!' 'Great idea!'
Killzone isn't mediocre :saddowns: I agree it isn't like Crysis though.
Killzone isn't mediocre :saddowns: I agree it isn't like Crysis though.
The story is, at least.
Re-install, fixed it for me.
He did.
Indeed he did, I need glasses and sleep
I'll try reinstalling for a third time, I guess.
Multiplayer is shit compared to Crysis and Crysis Wars.
Well, yeah it's a demo not a full game. What did you expect from a 1.7 GB download? [editline]4th March 2011[/editline] I hope records and unlocks transfer over to the real game when it's released.. or else there's no point for me playing anymore.
'Hey Crytek, let's try to be a mediocre game that hasn't even come out yet!' 'Great idea!'
Killzone 3 - February 22, 2011. Crysis 2 - March 22, 2011. Umm, it's a clear competition. [editline]4th March 2011[/editline]
Well, yeah it's a demo not a full game. What did you expect from a 1.7 GB download? You're right, this is a demo, not a beta. What you play is what you get, there will be absolutely no changes from there on out. Prepare to be disappointed.
I hope not, I want to unlock Scout and the attachments that bugged out on me, like Hologram, Prox Sensor and LMG.
Well, yeah it's a demo not a full game. What did you expect from a 1.7 GB download?
I hate this, this is such a lazy and misinformed answer. The demo is suposed to be a demonstration of the game. The mutiplayer is shit because it tries to be a game it's not. The game was better suited to large maps with points ala BF2 rather than trying to be cod.

I don't understand how a game can be like another when neither companies had any idea how the other game would play.
People are going to disagree with you just because the graphics are the best there is.
Don't get me wrong, its a fucking gorgeous game, and runs SO well for it. its just, the multilayer aspect of the game is terrible the singleplayer is fantastic, and worth the money.
Well, seems like it doesn't want to cooperate. Anyone know a way to get past this?
You're putting in the wrong password. They're retarded and didn't include a notification for WRONG PASSWORD. I had the same problem. When I tried to make a new account it said my email was already used. I ended up using one of my old gamespy id's.

But somehow people have the misconception that if the graphics are good then the gameplay must be good.
Yeah, remember guys; when you try to make a new account, and the username is taken, it'll register your email, and you won't be able to use it. Same goes for any error message, like passwords not matching. Annoying as hell, and I had to make a new email just for this demo. Was quite cool, and worth it, though.
Anyone know a way to get past this?
This happened to me; I had to unckeck "Remember details" and let it log in, then type in everything again.
If you have Peerblock turn it off.
Or let the game launch and try to log in, then allow all "IGN Entertainment" entries for an hour/forever. You might need to alt-tab out a few times, though, because it seems to check a different set when you use the server browser. The controls, in my opinion, make a fair bit of sense - barring Nanovision. However, crouching being bound to C is more-or-less ESSENTIAL is you want to slide. Toggled crouching makes a fair bit of sense, too, considering the focus on being stealthy. Needing to hold one less key is, after all, essential when you can only hold a few keys on a keyboard at once. The 'mode toggles' are damn useful, too, so why complain about those? I don't like how the weapon switch keys are set up, though. I just set "swap weapons" and "swap grenades" to my mouse, which works pretty well. :v:
I just set "swap weapons" and "swap grenades" to my mouse, which works pretty well. :v:
I personally set melee and the "swap to grenades" (G) button to my mouse, as those are not something I'd like to reach for on the keyboard while in the middle of action.
Then why did you quote me instead of him? :v:
... Good question... v:v:v
Clearly. But somehow people have the misconception that if the graphics are good then the gameplay must be good.
You still haven't shown us one bit of evidence to why this game doesn't feel natural or how it tries to be like Killzone 3. Let me guess, it's because Killzone 3 has cloaking for one of it's classes and an unlock/rank system? I've clocked in over 8 hours in to this demo so far and I'm still having a blast with only two maps. So I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be playing the game if the gameplay was terrible.
i kind of feel like playing out crysis wars again to see what's changed but the only people who seem to play anymore are the ones that can wipe the floor with you with their eyes closed
its not that hard to wipe the floor with your eyes closed, unless you're in space
I can't find any servers on Crysis Wars. There's like only one or two that have very few players in them and the rest is just barren.
I can't log in to play the game. Any suggestions? [editline]4th March 2011[/editline] *Demo
I just noticed that if you go to the page where you check your stats for your guns it also displays all the other guns in the game (the scarab etc.)
Ugh. Not this GameSpy shit. I was looking forward to playing the demo, too. I'm not going to buy it if it's in the final version because I won't even be able to play multiplayer if that's the case. GameSpy is a pathetic ass piece of shit that needs to die.

How do you not notice the inability to log into the game? I can't even use the account that I already have, and it doesn't even have numbers in it and nobody else is using my name. You only get one attempt to create an account with a unique e-mail address! If the name you wanted is already taken, you have to use another e-mail address and give it another go.
