gj rating me dumb just because i rated you dumb
Dumb.
I played tons of Crysis 1's multiplayer.
While it had it's amazing moments, most of it was pretty boring and messy. The net-code was shit; the you in which your purchased guns was kind of lame; there was no persistence; the maps were often too big for the player-counts (i.e, 32 players often wasn't enough to have an exciting match on Mesa).
While Crysis 2's multiplayer is definitely a lot simpler, it's also a lot more fun to pick up and play. I'm still hoping that the final build of the PC version will have all the advanced menu settings that the first Crysis' had.
My friend was/is a beta tester of crysis 2. And BF3 Althought he doesent give me any information on bf3. He says that there are advanced menu settings options in beta build of pc version.

I think he's lying, is there even a Beta for BF3 yet?
I think he's lying, is there even a Beta for BF3 yet?
Pretty early for one.
I'm 99% sure he's lying.

Yeah the game is still in Alpha going by the leaked GDC footage.
All of the promo gameplay videos of this game show staged games, and it's really obvious that it's not real.
Yeah, remember the TF2 trailer?

Yeah, I didn't feel your "dumb" rating was justified, so I thought it was pretty dumb of you to do so.
Yeah the game is still in Alpha going by the leaked GDC footage.
Pre-alpha even, depending on how old the footage is because that's what it was labeled as
RustySpannerz;28443031']Yeah, remember the TF2 trailer?
No. This isn't even remotely the same. Valve deliberately took a cinematic approach when they developed their trailer.
The 'gameplay', especially the 'live' demonstration for Crysis 2 MP is painfully artificial. They try to present single player behavior in a multilayer environment. Anyone whose played a shooter knows the scenario they show the suit powers or whatever simply does not happen in most multiplayer games.
I may be a little uppity, but I'm actually insulted whenever a developer does similar stuff when trying to show blatantly staged action under the guise of 'gameplay'.
Just get to the fucking point, and don't patronize me, I say. Let me imagine the scenarios behind certain mechanics, not everything has to be spelled out.
So I just started playing today, already level 8, this is really fun so far, the graphics are also amazing, can't wait for release.
For any of you that can't read, Crytek already said that the PC demo is a direct port of the Xbox 360 demo because they wanted more feedback being as they are new to the console scene.

I take back what I said earlier. It may be a more console-y game, and it may be a CoD ripoff, but damn if it isn't fun.

It isn't a CoD ripoff, and learn to read. You've been here for almost two years and you still don't know how to post on this forum.

You said the exact same thing, and didn't clarify anything. Its probably too early to test BF3 in any appreciable way, although it does come out later in the year. This calls to question the validity of whether or not he tested Crysis 2, and since you can't provide any proof, your information is suspect.
Finally got the Mk. 60 and Jackal to stay unlocked. I've already unlocked the attachments for the Jackal and now I just need to do the Mk. 60. All I did was unlock and equip the weapon after every round and it eventually got the message to stay.
I'm really getting tired of everyone using the SCAR in this game though. The lack of these players weapon choice is astounding.

There are 4 guns.

Wow, whether or not it's a direct port or not does not effect the style of gameplay. The system the multiplayer runs off is basically exactly the same as a Call of Duty game, with the way you gain XP and level, with the position of text when getting XP, with the way attachments are added in a separate menu, with the custom class system itself, even down to the same killcam timing and menu similarities. That was my own observation. Besides, I wasn't digging on the game, I said it was damn fun.
You learn to read. :colbert:
Is it just me or does the demo look blurry or washed out or something?

Um, what? As far as I know, the players didn't choose what weapons got put in the demo. It was Crytek that put the most fucking generic weapon staples (assault rifle, LMG, pistol, grenade, sniper, shotgun) to help sell their game.
Why do people prefer the Scar over everything else? Because its the most versatile.
The Shotgun is inconsistent and sucks, the sniper is pretty much a specialist weapon that gets fucked over by the scar due to its better rate of fire, and overall player mobility.
The only direct competitor to the Scar is the LMG that does more damage with only a mildly more recoil and less handling capability.
And the pistols are essentially holdout weapons. Grenades act the way their supposed to, and I've found are also sparingly used.
Also, just look at the maps. Correct me if I'm wrong, but they are mostly mid to close ranged, and designed for the fast flow of combat.
Emphasis seems more placed on the mastery of suit abilities over that of weapons, which are more suited to augment, not replace them.

Yep. I found it really difficult to focus my eyes when I first started playing.

I know that but the players choose to only use the SCAR. It really ticks me off that if I want to take a break from the most overused gun in the game, I will die a lot because the SCAR renders every other gun useless. Wanna snipe? Too bad! You just got headshoted from a cross the map by a lucky bullet.
Well I already explained why it's overused. It's the most effective around at this point. No point in complaining about it until the full release.
I'm still wondering why they didn't choose some of the more interesting weapons they announced.
The reasons I am using the SCAR is.
-It's good.
-It's versatile.
No other gun is.
I like how the nanovision actually looks somewhat like real thermal vision, or at least looks good. Compared to the shitty thermal scopes in cod that give a crisp white silhouette against a grey background.

Sorry to be a bastard, but if something is versatile, it is assumed that it is also good.
You know... since it can be used for a number of applications and scenarios.
