Sorry, but where do you the sandbox?
I have Crysis, Warhead, Wars, and preordered Crysis 2. Where is the sandbox? I know you gotta go through installer.exe or something.
it's in the leak, editor.exe
Co op would be really cool I think. Like someone else suggested, one player could have stealth and the other armour.
I played the demo yesterday, the multiplayer itself was not anything special imo.
But shit it worked super well on my slow internet connection. I get about 200 ping online, but it feels like playing with 20 ping, no lag what so ever.
At first I was like "wohaaa... it sucksss, fucking mouse lag" but then I installed a sli patch from nvidia and now it's all smooth and nice. just a little mouse lag though.
I think I will buy it after all, mostly for sandbox3.
Or just both, but I see your point. One guy can stay back and snipe while the other walks around with an HMG and heavy armor on.
We need more coop games :saddowns:
Was I the only one who drove boats out to the far ocean so i could play jumprope with the Missiles that suddenly target you
then why does the armour work better than the nanosuit 2?
It does grant you nigh invincibility though. If you were hit by something in Crysis that'd overtax your armour it'd chew directly into your health. In Crysis 2 you can get hit by a car with armour mode on which drains it completely, but leaves you alive. Same goes for grenades which were the fucking bane of my existence in Crysis 1.
Have they updated the steam version yet?
I still get that fucking "check your connectivity" error, and my friend can play it fine.
Fuck I wanna play so bad

don't hold your breath, the patch didn't fix that error for me
Hey, guys.
If Crysis 2 is a CoD clone, what does that make Warface?
[sp]Crysis 2 without nanosuits, according to the trailer.[/sp]

Dunno, Warface has a focus on multiplayer co-op too
don't hold your breath, the patch didn't fix that error for me
Yup, same here.
well shit
I got past the "check your connectivity" error, but you still can't play because you still can't connect to multiplayer.
I think it's because the steam patch hasn't been rolled out. It still says "press start" on the menu, which they claimed that they changed it to "press enter"
Found out why everything is low-poly.

Basically all the patch did was adding an "Invalid Password" error screen and changed START to ENTER.
So if you can't access the demo, you're pretty much fucked?

the other system works better
in crysis 2 if you get hit severely and all your armour drains, you'll just get shot like once and you'll die
in crysis 1, both depleted together (iirc) and added up to being able to withstand more damage
armour mode in c1 was way too underwhelming. it was pretty much just your health bar, at least in c2 armour mode feels like you've turned into the tank that they said you'd be. from what I remember as well armour mode in c1 worked as a 100 health without 200 health with kind of deal
Yeah, armor mode makes quite a difference in c2. You last at least 2-3 seconds compared to 1.
I've been doing my best to keep it civil. I haven't done anything like say the game is terrible, or that people that like it are *insert stupid insult here*... in fact, quite the opposite if you look at my posts.
I post here because this thread is for Crysis 2 discussion. I'm discussing it. We may disagree on the direction they've taken the game, but I'm not here trying to incite a flamewar. I'm simply posting my opinion.
Additionally, where would you have me post? Should we start a separate thread for people that dislike the game? Why should we put up barriers like that when we can discuss our opinions like adults?
Lastly, and this might sound a bit ridiculous, but I'm kind of hoping Crytek listens to the community enough to hear criticism from fans like me and take it into consideration. I know this isn't Crytek's forum, which is why I just might get an account at their official forum and add my own thread to the numerous complaint threads already there. However, I do think it would be wise of them to keep tabs on FP, particularly considering the large "leak thread" we once had.
Besides, if you really can't handle people disagreeing with you, why not just ignore their posts?
What most people are doing is the same as going into a church and yell "There is no god!" You can see how bad that will end, yet, some people keep doing it.
And you can plainly see that Facepunch can't be adult about it. People go nuts after a few posts. Even I could go nuts after hearing about soo much CoD.
And CryTek wont do that. They just view their forums, so any complaints someone would have, they would have to direct themselves to their forum.
Edit: Theres one guy crying about how nanovision drains too much energy and has to use it 24/7... Terrible terrible eyesight
Anyone else think that nano vision shouldn't be in the multiplayer? - allows you to see cloaked players when they are pretty obvious anyway AND when especially that it makes Stealth tracker pointless as you can have another upgrade instead.
Nothing more annoying than bumblestiltskin getting the drop on your careful sneaking by running around in armour and nano vision flailing m60 fire into your now obvious ass.
Except those modes spend some energy, and the moment you start shooting at him, he'll be dead in a bunch of seconds.
Actually, with the improved armor mode perk, you'll be using less energy whilst in armor mode, sprinting and using nano vision than you'd be sprinting without armor.
- G35 headset fix now implemented
Oh dear THANK YOU GOD.

If I get this game, I will have a class full of enhancers :v:
How do I run Crysis2Launcher in the Bin32 folder? When I double-click it, it just opens a Notepad window...
it's in the leak, editor.exe
So sandbox only comes with Crysis 2?
Manually updating the Steam demo? Really now.
[editline]8th March 2011[/editline]
Erm, nevermind.
then why does the armour work better than the nanosuit 2?
Gameplay/Story segregation?
So the update isn't out for Steam yet?
Luckily I managed to download non-Steam version before it became available on Steam. Updated it, will play it until the Steam-version gets updated.
then why does the armour work better than the nanosuit 2?
Mother fucking zing, if you ask me.
Probably because they all use HEAT rounds now. In every weapon.

Wait what, a patch for the demo? Where can you get it?
