Hello and welcome to the wonderful world of THE DEMO IS A FUCKING CONSOLE PORT. They stated the PC version on official release will have multiple options you can change in the menu. Now stop the bitching.
The leak wasn't the console port.
No, but it was an early beta build. I'm sure that optimizing different graphics options comes towards the end of a game's development.
Dammit ten more days. These days aren't going by fast enough. At least spring break is after the week Crysis 2 is launched.
No, but it was an early beta build. I'm sure that optimizing different graphics options comes towards the end of a game's development.
Nvidia and co. have reviewed the full game, with no evidence of any more settings than the demo and no DX11.
I played through the campaign and there barely was any destructability And I'm pretty sure DX11 won't fix that
Of the beta leak? The same unfinished beta game leak filled with bugs? ... [editline]13th March 2011[/editline]
The leak wasn't the console port.
And people aren't supposed to get beta leaks either. Why? Because their messy and unfinished.
when does this game come out
wow the demo is alot of fun
when does this game come out
25th March
they have confirmed that they will add advanced tweaking options in the full game, it's been posted several times
they have confirmed that they will add advanced tweaking options in the full game, it's been posted several times
Yep, and the only reason advanced tweaking wasn't in the demo or leak builds was because it made it easier for crytek to diagnose graphics-based bugs if they kept the settings simplified.

hey morons the leak was using 360 assets as is the demo the full pc version will have an advanced graphics section, Crytek confirmed it.

Some games "block" out the good stuff if you set the graphics lower you know.
Have you considered that it might take a little more then "hardcore settings" to see said effects? Even in the tech demos they released they showed next to no destruction, except for that one demonstration where they used Crysis 1's trees/houses and don't take this the wrong way, I know the engine's capable of handling destruction, it's just that in the actual game there isn't going to be much of it
I hope there will be an achievement that involves grabbing people by the neck and throwing them real far
25th March
Steam says March 22nd.
That's because he's on the other side of the planet. North America gets it on the 22nd and Europe gets it on the 25th.
The leak wasn't the console port.
They actually explained this, during testing they wanted to restrict the options clients had so they could speed up the debugging phase. So instead of 20x "Was feature X On?" it was just, "What Preset did it not work".
Oh boy. Now the demo tells me my login details are wrong when it's not. What a helpful update.

You and some more people were the ones pointing out that the game doesn't has much destruction even though they showed that tech demo of Crysis 2 destructive capabilities. I'm not saying the game will exactly feature destructive environment like that, but will possibly at least feature a couple of destructive places (pre-set for destruction) or something of the sort. It's even crazy to think that this would be a cross between Crysis and Red Faction, which seems what people think about when they see that tech demo.
Steam says March 22nd.
March 22nd for US, 25th for everyone else.
Kinda figured out how to use the shotgun correctly. You have to take advantage of your running speed while you have it equipped. Run around in stealth, use nanovision to spot enemies, stalk a single target and assassinate them. Either by doing a stealth kill or shooting them at point blank + melee. Shit the demo ends today. Here's what it says on the multiplayer demo page.
The demo ends at 11:59PM Pacific Standard Time (PST) on Sunday, March 13th (Subject to change).

Shit the demo ends today. Here's what it says on the multiplayer demo page.
And I still haven't had an opportunity to play this demo. Maybe next time, Crytek will actually test their demo before releasing it?
And I still haven't had an opportunity to play this demo. Maybe next time, Crytek will actually test their demo before releasing it?
Was fine for 98% of the people who played it. Fucking Crytek!
Shit the demo ends today. Here's what it says on the multiplayer demo page.
fuuuuck and I was enjoying the demo too :saddowns: $70 is a bit too pricey for me so I doubt I'm going to buy the actual game.
Shit the demo ends today. Here's what it says on the multiplayer demo page.
And I was going to upgrade my card for the demo. :frown:
I may not have had a chance to try out the MP demo on the PC, but I will still hold onto my pre-order for this game as I want to enjoy the brilliant single player in its final and complete form.
